Ordered the "gold" Urbane from Google's store on 4/29, it shipped on the 30th, and will arrive today, the 1st.

I can't say that I will keep it as, for one thing, I haven't worn a watch in years and also not sure I see the need for a smartwatch.

Nevertheless, I am curious about smartwatches in general and this one in particular and look forward to playing with it.

I've come so close to getting the G Watch R, but keep waiting for it to get a little cheaper. I'm also waiting to see the price of the Huawei watch. Don't wanna spend too much on something I'm just trying out. I've already spent 1600 this year on phones alone. LOL.

Congrats! Ordered mine on 28th from Verizon. Been on my wrist for 2 days. Love it.

Cool.

I went with the "gold" because I wear a Gold wedding band on the left hand and a Gold initial ring on the right. Of course, from the photos, LG's idea of gold looks more bronze'y to me but we shall see.

One of the reasons I am shying away from smartwatches is that they are all so darned big. My guess is that my wrist is about the same size as yours (mine is about 7-1/4" circumference) and, if the watch looks as big on me as it does on you, well..., I'm just not sure.

Of course, a smartwatch face has to be pretty big in order to be useful and my current phone is a Nexus 6 so I have certainly grown used to "big" devices. :)

Got my silver a few days ago and my "gold" arrives today. Anyone figure out how to use the wifi? My watch connects to wifi fine, but not sure it's connecting to the phone using wifi or Bluetooth.

As long as your phones bluetooth is on it'll use that connection. it you turn it off or leave it's range then it switches to wifi network.

It took a day to get used to it. The size doesn't bother me, nice and comfortable fit. This is my first smartwatch and so far I'm very impressed with it's functionality. Not being tethered to the phone is a big plus.

Thanks. Is this automatic, or do I need to configure something for it to work this way?

I am very jealous of all of you who received your Urbane. I live in Canada, ordered the watch 3 days ago, and the order detail indicates that shipments won't commence until May 15. Doh!!!

According to the reviews I've seen, the gold color is actually rose gold. Please let us know how it matches with your rings when you get it, as I would also like a gold watch to match my rings.

Well, the colors are definitely not the same but not so bad I think that I couldn't live with it.

On the other hand, I'm still not sure I am going to keep the Urbane. I'm just not used to wearing a watch anymore and, frankly, it (and, I'm sure, any smartwatch) doesn't really seem to offer any thing that I really need or even want. I mean, really, what exactly is the point?

Then, there is the matter of cost. I can easily afford it; in fact, I can afford a Rolex (a mid-priced one, anyway). But at least the Rolex would last the remainder of my lifetime and then be passed down to my son and maybe even his son. How long is a smartwatch going to last before one wants the latest, faster, more memory, model? I replace my smartphone every 12-18 months; am I going to feel the need to replace a smartwatch as often?

And, this coming from a gadget freak like myself!

Thanks for the picture. It looks like too much of a color difference for me to be comfortable with.
