I got charged for my 16 gb that I ordered on June 28 and received an email from google at 12:05 am that it is shipped

Just got notification of shipping from Google (1:40 AM - happened to be up late working tonight.) The tracking number provided was generated 7/9. So irritating that my box has been labeled up and ready to go since Monday and it won't be until the middle of next week when it arrives.

Understand your frustration, but Im sure Google wanted all the preorders to go out on the same day. Given the volume, Im guessing the devices were packed, printed and staged over a number of days. Unfortunately it does not happen in the blink of an eye.

Speculations show people who ordered with cases haven't shipped either. Wondering if there's shortages on cases. Try calling and seeing if you can cancel the case itself?

Ok, still hadn't been charged this morning for my 16GB that I ordered on 7/6. Decided that I'd check at my local Sams this morning and sure enough they had 5 of them! (Sams 1 - Google Play 0)

However, I HAD to have them look up their stock by item number (there were no pull tags, so I was told several times that they didn't have any). So, if you go to Sams, USE THE ITEM NUMBER (793929) , otherwise they won't know what you are talking about. Oh, and their website doesn't reflect actual inventory.

Anyway, good luck to you guys and gals! I guess I'll be switching to another thread now.

Finally feeling like I have a handle on what's going on with my order.

16g ordered from Play on 29 JUN around 1am Eastern.

Charged yesterday afternoon, got the "shipped" email this morning and used ups.com to redirect the delivery to my office for MON delivery.

Psyched for my first Android device!!!
