The Nexus 7 came an hour ago and is absolutely fantastic!!! This is my first Android Device and I'm liking what I'm seeing. I'm a Mac person, but I like the best technologies out there, no matter who produces them. This tablet is smooth and very well built, it fits comfortably in the hand and has awesome sound. The box was very easy to open too, which, after seeing some of those YouTube videos, I was a little anxious about. All in all, I am very pleased with this purchase. There are no hardware issues whatsoever, and this is such a jewel to hold. For those of you still waiting, you'll absolutely LOVE it.

Just dipped over to Staples (the one close to me said "Low Stock" on the website). They were out. I know I said I wouldn't get it from a B&M and I would wait for GP, but I couldn't resist. Oh well, looks like I'm waiting anyway.

I'll repost what I wrote in another thread (if that's allowed) since this thread seems more alive and relevant:

I was on hold 70 min. and just hung up. The guy just told me that the cases were an issue getting in stock, but they have them all now. And they are doing everything they can to get all orders to UPS within the next couple days. As long as we preordered we should hear something very soon. He even said my order is fully boxed and ready and just waiting to be shipped (whether that's true or not).

Standard rabble, but he did take the time to look up my order and assured me not to worry and I would not have to wait another 3-4 weeks or anything crazy like that. Since I preordered (on the 27th with case) I would receive shipping notification soon.

We'll see :-\

Picked mine up from UPS, which was a pain because after requesting it for pickup instead of getting put on a truck they still hadn't had it ready at 10am. They could get it from Kentucky to Miami in 6hrs but they couldn't get it from one side of the building to the other since Midnight when I requested the pick up. Anyways, 2hr wait at home and its ready for pick up.

Sadly i get it home and right out of the box on the welcome screen i get this:

Hard Resets...hours of fiddling, and 1hr 30min on the phone with Play CS and they are RMA'ing it.... someone from Google will send me an e-mail in the next 24hrs to START the process of shipping me a new one directly from Mountain View....... :'''(

Yup, seems like standard CS rabble. The whole cases being an issue seems like bull . I didn't order anything else but a single Nexus 7 16GB. I still don't have anything to show for it, not even a credit card hold.

Been playing with mine for a couple hours. Its pretty damn solid so far. No dead pixels, no glass separation. Just sexiness so far.

The face unlock, unlocks in like a split second. So quick.

Very fluid. I'm loving it so far! Hang in there guys, you won't be disappointed. And try not to read those negative threads about the tablet. It puts you in a worse mood while you are waiting for the N7.
