I've been reading that pre-order thread on XDA for the last couple days. It kinda makes me want to throw myself into oncoming traffic if I don't get it by the end of this week. Perhaps I need to take a break from XDA until it actually arrives.

I hear ya, I've read every page of that monster thread. And its filled with nothing. Just turning into arguments now...

The best thing anyone following this thread can do is go see a movie tonight. Plan a big breakfast with the family for tomorrow at Ihop, and maybe a visit with kids to the park for later. The time only passes so slow because we are watching. I'm going to try and forget the thing exists until Friday. If I get a surprise between now and then it's good however.

It's quite sad that people need this advice! I know it's exciting but if it really stops your life, you need more help than getting the N7 in your hands, and help that costs a lot more :S (I'm not referring to you, I'm referring to the people who are overly worked up over this lol)

Just found out my other package I was waiting to ship, shipped! So that brightened my day and gave me hope, especially since I ordered it on the 29th. Tomorrow, I am going to the park with my daughter to meet up with some of our friends.

Wow, just got a phone call from Google. They reviewed my pre-order status. Told me that they were processing my Nexus 7 to ship to Staples and will send me an email when it gets there. They said approximate delivery is either the 15th or 17th of this month (July). I am a happy camper with no more guessing. haha

Just spoke with Google report Steve, I know this adds to the he said she said, but Steve told me that there is a high probability they will start shipping tomorrow..... He said based on order date you could add the number of days from pre order openning.. Bummer for me.... I ordered on the 6th... About a week..... When I pressed about retail stores getting them first he said it could be sooner... That they can not release till Google starts shipping... Being in waited they may be in stores before I get mine..... He said this was just a rough guesstimate and orders may move quicker.... And that Google may have surprises even the reps are not made aware of till they happen..... Idk.... Even if I don't get mine, it sounds like shipping will start tomorrow... Take it with a grain of salt.... Still won't know for sure w/of tracking numbers.... Thought I would give you what I heard.... Litter ally just got off the phone with him....

oh he also started that billing of the device (the point that your bank completely clears it) and shipping numbers should happen with in hours of each other and that my device could very well be at the distribution center (He had no way to confirm this) but the week would likely still apply :-( .... That once they get things moving it could drop a few days but a good formula was add a day for everyday after the pre order opened..... I hope he is wrong honestly.... I want my tablet lol
