Well, it should be tomorrow. If the majority of the retail stores already have it in stock, UPS already has them in the hubs getting ready to get labeled and shipped.

We will just have to check in the morning and hope there is no shadow.

The "very very very close" line was repeated about 8 times in the conversation lol.

Don't think ups ships saturday

I have recieved plenty of things from UPS on Saturday. Also remember if the the item ships from the logistic center at their hub (99% likely) then the 2 day shipping will be same day shipping for many and next day for most. This is because if it starts from the hub, it's already half way through the shipping cycle. I see this happen from some other supplies like Mouser that I suspect use UPS logistics to fufill some orders

My understanding was that UPS has two options for Saturday.

1- pay extra and it will be delivered
2- if normal delivery then it sits in the truck until Monday.

I've had MANY packages fall into the second category. They just waited all weekend until the normal deliveries resumed.

More than likely it will ship overnight, I order things 2nd day ups with amazon prime almost every week and I get the items next day.

Edit.....Just noticed MSearider already stated this. If you're really anxious you can alway's pick up the item from UPS themselves if it's stuck at their hub. I've only done this once, but the place is too far from my house.

So if the shipping goes live thursday we think it may arrive to some Thursday, others Friday? Makes sense in a way. They are just sitting in the UPS warehouse just they are already sitting in some stores.

We can assume Google wants us to have them quickly since we (pre-orders from Google direct) are blamed for the retail hold up.

Going on what I read earlier in this thread, I asked our UPS guy if he had heard anything. All I got out of him was that he couldnt wait to buy one :-\
