I'm sure the rest of you are constantly checking your email, Google Wallet account for any changes and your credit/bank account for any charges? Haha.

When I preordered my Nexus 7, I was going to through it on my Amazon.com card... but it got declined twice. I think Amazon knew what I was up to and wouldn't let the charge go through! Anyway, I finally updated the payment with my debit card. The full amount was charged, but has since vanished with no other signs... This waiting is rough!

I pre-ordered my N7 from GameStop on Sunday. So today I just called GameStop and to check on the estimated delivery date. The guy who answered the one disappeared for a bit and came back and told me that they didn't have a date as of yet, but expected something in the next week or so. I don't know if he meant they expect the N7 to arrive then or they expect a more definitive release date then.

Which is interesting because when I reserved it, the guy told me July 31, then another employee came over and pointed to the computer screen and corrected him by telling me the date would be August 7. So going from "August 7" to "we don't have a date" is a big change in 2 days.

August 7th is for the second wave of pre orders it says it on your receipt the first wave was like a couple days after its announcement. I hope it comes sooner I hate waiting.

I've read every post since my last post. And it has not helped me get any less anxious. This thread is getting me super excited. I don't think I've even been this excited about a new gadget ever.

You should be apart of the first wave then, there is only one sku for the nexus 7 and we can check the date. So ask them at gamestop. If they tell you your part of the second wave. Ask the store manager if they are there.

Just got off the phone with google, I spoke to Estaban. I told him that Staples and Gamestop were saying that the Nexus 7 would be available on the 12th and I wanted to know if those of us who ordered from the play store can expect the same date or later. He said "all i can say about that is, the first batch is being labeled and ready to ship." I then asked what constitutes the "first batch" and if there was a cutoff date for the "first batch" and he said "No".

Cant wait to get my nexus 7!!!! I hope its the 12th!

I got mine from games top on the 3rd and only have a balance of 95 dollars thanks to trading in stuff I wasn't using here at home. Will pickup this up on Thursday during my lunch break!!!!!

Hopefully, this release will go the way Apple do it. They ship early so that pre-order people get their order on the same day that retailers make it available. Then it's a matter of waiting for the delivery guy, whilst people are picking up their new items at the store (or standing in line for hours! ).

Just read this over at xda-developers forum about the Nexus 7...
"Gamestop has begun shipping orders to stores.... BUT Google!!!!! yes FING Google is holding the release date hostage. What I mean by this is that they were supposed to begin selling the tablets on thursday, but Google from what my friend knows called a hold and NO ONE knows when the official date will be. It could still be this week, but for some reason Google hit the pause button, I'll share more as I get more info."

Another person said he heard the same thing today. I don't know whether I believe it or not, but just reporting what I've read elsewhere.

I have read a few posts on here that mentioned UPS has them in the hubs waiting for shipment. If this is true, what if someone just calls the hub that their tab will be shipping from and tells them that they have a package of yours and when will they be delivering it? I highly doubt that the UPS workers were told anything about the "secret" ship date of the nexus.

To further stir the pot, there's a Google+ post from the Nexus page, and the very last part of the last sentence of the last paragraph (you may or may not have to expand the post to see it) states, "Up next for Jelly Bean: all Galaxy Nexus, Nexus S, Motorola Xoom and of course, Nexus 7, which will ship with Jelly Bean later this month (bolding and italics by me, if you didn't guess)."

Hopefully "later this month" does not in fact mean the latter half of the month like I feel it does when I hear that phrasing.
