Ok at first I was excited about the hope that Id get the N7 last week, but seriously Google isnt a billion dollar company that is running a ponzey scheme. I ordered my galaxy nexus over the weekend, didn't get an update til mid Monday, and got it in had Tuesday. It looks like a similar situation here. All will be well.
Exactly, you didn't get an update until Monday. Many people got emails on Friday night that said their Nexus 7 had shipped. "Shipped" would mean that the label had been printed out and the carrier has the packages.
Oddly enough, the carrier did not get the package until Monday morning. So the label had been printed out but the package was sitting in a warehouse somewhere. Not really shipped, just ready to ship.
This would be like you ordering your Galaxy Nexus on Monday, getting an update Monday night that it had shipped, and them giving your package to UPS on Wednesday morning with an estimated Friday delivery. Oh, and you would have paid for 2 day shipping.

Glad you people have at least gotten a damn tracking number.....I don't have anything. After the Pre-auth charge cleared up I haven't heard a peep about my nexus. Ordered June 28th 8gb with a case

There was a post earlier in this thread about the whole "I got mine first" thing. Now, I don't care about getting mine first, but what does kinda annoy me is that I could have ordered my Nexus 7 from GameStop and had it in my hands right now, whereas my preorder directly from the Google Play store has yet to even start shipping. And it would have been $13 cheaper cause I wouldn't have had to pay shipping. Did I just pay more money to get an item *later* than I would have? Yup, I did.
I don't say this often, but take a page out of Apple's book, Google. People religiously order directly from the Apple store because it's a pleasure to deal with them.

I am still hoping google will do a good faith to all the google play orders an additional 25 or 50 dollar credit or something to be like we are sorry we screwed up.
Got my tracking number from Google play on 7/13, just updated and UPS will deliver 7/17, really looking forward to having the tablet in hand, may call in sick 7/18

The UPS tracking app on my Evo 3D says Rescheduled delivery, 7/17/12
On my laptop, the UPS website says expected delivery, 7/17/12 but nothing about "rescheduled."
The more I read, the more I say Google botched getting these to UPS on Wednesday so we would have them on Friday. That's why they have "Order processed: Ready for UPS" on Wednesday. They were supposed to ship Wednesday for Friday delivery.
That would explain why the retail sales started that day.

Hi, my name is Vinay and I'm a Nexus 7 shipping thread refresh addict.
Just spent about an hour on hold trying to get a hold of a rep. At that point I said screw it. I guess they weren't lying about having a high volume of calls. Must be a lot of upset people.
sounds about right, mine got rescheduled to the 17th as well. I feel like im gonna have an friggin aneurysm waitin' for this thing.
Mine as well changed to the 17th.. I won't have it in time for what I wanted to use it for, but.. At least I'll have it.:-\
If it doesn't come in tomorrow I'll be pissed I'm already pretty ticked off that it didn't come it today each day I don't have my N7 (especially today because I was supposed to have it today according to ups) I become more impatient
