June 28th order for a case and 8gb. Apart from the broadcast email, nothing so far. This is getting beyond frustrating at this point.

I still haven't heard anything since the main email and pre-authorization on my card. My bank puts holds on some things but I'm not sure when it expires, that could be the reason for the hold up. Everytime I get a email I get anxious until I see it's not from Google.

Preordered 6/28 with case.

16 GB no case, still no word. I noticed there is discrepancy between what they have at An update on Nexus 7 pre-order shipping status - Google Play Help and what they sent out in the generic email. On the web status update they say all standalone 16B orders will ship by 7/19 (Thursday) w overnight shipping. The email on the other hand says that they will ship by the end of the week (meaning if it ships Friday Overnight, it still won't show until Monday). I think I see another deadline that Google isn't going to make. Can this clusterf*** get any worse... I'm thinking they will find a way.

My order for my 16GB just went to the top of my orders on GP and I also have a pending charge on my CC. Looks like I'll finally get it tomorrow. Ordered on the 3rd. It's felt like I've been waiting years for something to happen.

I jump every time I look at my account. My checking account has $500 in it while my wife's has $300. For a split second, I see that $300 and think it's my account and Google has taken the money out for my order. Then I come crashing back to reality.

Same thing here. My case and 8gb orders bumped up to top of list in GPS. I also see a pending charge from GOOGLE CHECKOUT SELLER on my CC. I guess it is coming, finally. Still no confirmation or tracking email though. Here's hoping that it will be here at least tomorrow.

Ok now we know for sure google is doing things randomly. I ordered the same thing you did and my nexus 7 got here today. Barely received my tracking number in the morning too so you know the shipping is going to be lightning fast once google takes your money

I feel like they don't actually update these things until the end of the day. Lots of people i saw posting that said they got their package tracking number and email from Google last night at around 2am and saw it was overnight shipping.

They must have been some of the first with the new shipping promise, so i'm assuming if we see any activity it will be in the middle of the night for most of us.

Just a thought.

I'm really hoping to wake up to a nice "your package is now shipping" when i wake up tomorrow! lol

I agree. I ordered the same day as you two (6/28) except the 16GB model with case. I got the email and a pre-authorization but haven't heard anything since. It wouldn't be so frustrating if I wasn't reading so many people who ordered several days - in some cases weeks - after me getting their tablets.

Wife and I both ordered the 16GB with a case on June 27. Both of them shipped late last night and arrived this afternoon with the case included.

I was quite surprised that they were picked up at midnight in Louisville, KY and got them to our house near Houston 15 hours later. But then again, UPS has always had good customer service, so I shouldn't have been surprised.

Huh, the exact same thing happened to me. Except I ordered a 8gb june 28th with a case. I also live in Houston

Yup, they screwed the pooch big time. I just hope they own up to it. They can't blame UPS (or any other shipping service), because they are equipped to handle high volume if they are given fair warning ahead of time. And they can't blame high order volume, because they could have flipped the off switch to pre-order system at any time to keep from taking on too many orders.

My 16gig w/case ordered 6/27 arrived today. Got the cc charge yesterday, the email at 4am and myUps notified me at about Noon (oddly with a scheduled delivery date of tomorrow) clicking through to the tracking on both the email and myUps both showed it was out for delivery.

I just got the Credit Card charge (pending anyway). No e-mail notifications yet though. Hopefully it shows up tomorrow... even though I work from basically the time it's most likely to show up until 1 in the morning.
