USB-C and Legacy Chargers

How does USB-C with PD interact with legacy USB/QuickCharge2 chargers? I realize that they probably won't charge as fast as the stock pixel charger, but will they harm my new phone? Can I just use a good quality (Benson-approved) A-to-C cable?

Yeah should be able to use them, charging speed just won't be as fast as it could be

I have an extra Samsung official charging block and cable. Am I going to be able to use that without hurting the Pixel?

It would charge at a slower rate than the stock charger.

Usually, there isn't a problem with lower amperage chargers, so you can use them
