USB continually disconnecting and reconnecting from PC?

Anyone having this issue? It was working fine until I installed Dex. I plug it in, it shows the phone in my computer, navigate to the dcim camera folder, get the windows chime, it disconnects, and then reconnects. It will do this all the time. Sometimes I can transfer a few images before it does it.

I have uninstalled dex from windows 10, uninstalled drivers and reinstalled, disabled dex in the phone settings, forced a stop on anything dex related.

So frustrating, can't transfer any images to my PC.

hmmm Nevermind i think? I was using a 6 foot USBa to USB c cable. Been using it for months now and never had an issue. I went back to the short cable USB-a to the adapter that goes micro usb-b to usb-c that came with my note 8 and no disconnects. Go figure a cheap cable was causing issues.

I should have tried that first i guess.

try a different cable or a different usb port. are you using an usb hub? if so, then use a port on the computer.
