I bought a Verizon 4GLTE broadband router with voice the other day. When I got it, I couldn't see the sim card slot. I had to remove the 6 torx T6 screws at the bottom and remove the housing to get to the sim card slot, which is mounted on the back of the circuit board. It is a micro sim. Simply take an active 4GLTE micro sim from a smartphone and place it into the router. You will have unlimited data. It also has voice though I haven't tried it. The nice thing is that it has ethernet ports do you should be able to connect a standard router to it, though be sure to disable dhcp on the standard router.

do you pay the hotspot fee for your unlimited data plan? if not, does verizon allow that?
The 700mhz rules say you can use any device you want. That said if he were to call Verizon and they saw that device active on the account they would most likely change the plan.

Which model is this one? I don't really need this but think it's cool. Is this any different than putting my UDP SIM into my Mifi Jetpack?

Correct the rules allow it. But Verizon will do everything they can to avoid it. So you would need to have an active unlimited line from a smartphone and do the sim switch yourself. Before calling in for any reason be sure to put the smartphone back on the line. Also you cannot buy it from the regular Verizon site.

When adding it to the line which the brv is currently on:

Be warned! They just killed the data on my router I had set up. I had to move the plan back to a phone to get the data turned back on! Not happy......
Yeah I have read about that... You need to do an ipr to get it back

IPR? Sorry not familar with that. I put my old RAZR Max back on and they turned my data back on. I can still use FoxFi with it at least.
Does the line have unlimited data? When I lost it the same way it converted to a 2gb line. The had to do an inactive price request to get back unlimited.

They just totally blocked the data. Voice still worked but no data. Called Verizon and they told me they no longer supported the routers for an unlimited plan. I would have to change plans or put a regular smartphone back on it. I just took the old RAZR out of the drawer and switched it back. I can at least hot spot the old phone using FoxFi.

Interesting side note, the rep on the phone said I could add the Verizon hotspot, for $30 more a month, and still keep my unlimited. I declined for the time being but may have to take them up on it when the old RAZR finally dies.

I had the same thing happen. I put the SIM on a phone and called up. They unblocked the data but it converted me to a 2gb plan and I lost unlimited. I had the rep make an IPR for me. I got unlimited back 12 hours later.

Do you have unlimited data now? If you don't you need to call and make an IPR to get unlimited back.

Everything on my Verizon says I still have unlimited as well as the representative I spoke with. I guess we were cutting in to their billions of $ profit to much.

I received threatening letter from VZ saying they discovered my 3rd UDP line is being used in a router (which it is) and to call them (I will never call evil VZ) or they will shut it down on 10/31/16.

Does anyone have experience with just the router line getting shut off but other UDP lines stay same (all of mine are on Nationwide share plan)?
Or has anyone tried putting SIM into a phone prior to the shut-off date?

Thank you

I got the letter a few days ago, it was dated the day they shut my data off. So I won't call them either. I got it all worked out my old phone so I'm not going to kick the sleeping dog right now.
