Used to have 99 speed dials and now only have 9?

When I first got the s3 it was a 16 gig and it had 99 speed dials. If I wanted to use speed dial 9, I would press and hold 9. If I wanted to use speed dial 21, I would press 2 and then press and hold 1.

I have since swapped for another s3, a 32 gig, and now I can only use 9 speed dials. What gives? Lol

Can anyone else confirm how many speed dials they can set up now and also if you know a way to get back to 99, please let me know, thanks.

Just tested my dads s3 and he has 99 speed dials.

Either I changed a setting, which I didn't, or its because I'm rooted but I am stock rooted, or for some reason the newer s3's only get 9 speed dials.

What method did you use to root? I highly doubt that newer S3's came with only 9 speed dials. More likely it is a quirk with the method you chose to root with. Be aware that most root methods out now have some kinks associated with them. I would take a look at the forum thread for the method you chose to see what kinks are being reported by users.

I used ODIN. I really doubt that could be the reasoning but who knows, its annoying though.

I have 247 speed dials... its also known as Contacts.

On a serious note ... why not use Voice Commands or S Voice?

I like my speed dials and really wish I had the other 90 :(

Have you considered flashing back the factory stock image and then re-root?

I am considering it but its just annoying to reput the ice stock keyboard back on and then putting regular ringtones. Maybe.
