Ie seen youtube videos showing 2 sims and an SD card being used with the Note 9.
Is it safe to do so?Where can I purchase the item?
it was also stated on the video that both sims could be used simultaneously, i.e, either sim would ring for an incoming call and it wasn't necessary to activate one sim over the other. Is that true?

You can't purchase an item to convert a Note 9 to be dual sim. It has to be dual sim in the first place. Basically, the ones from Asia and some parts of Europe. If you take it to the US you use LTE/4G speeds because the US uses different bands from most of the world.

I'm in the UK using a hybrid duos Note 9.

You have the following choices.

1 SIM card and sd card.

2 SIM cards.

You can't have x2 Sims and a Sd Card in it.

In the settings you can decide which SIM card is the SIM card 1 and SIM card 2 and set different tones for them.

I also have the dual sim variant. In my former Note 8 (dual sim) I used an SD card with a stick-up second SIM.
When I placed this SD card in my Note9, I got a message that something strange was in de SIM card slot and this message blocked futher use of the phone....
I'm very disappointed by this "new feture...." since I'm used to using dual sim's

Will a dual sim phone, that's GSM only (I'm on Verizon..... CDMA) therefore use LTE and 4 G for both data and voice?

In other words, I want the Note 9 in Black, can buy one unlocked and dual sim, but will it work on Verizon's CDMA network.......

Nope. None of the dual sim versions were released in countries with CDMA networks. Both SIM are GSM.
