Using Dr Phone - now stuck in boot.....

[Android Central Question]

I tried to use Dr. Phone to recover deleted pictures. I wanted to use it because I did not want to root my phone.
First the phone got stuck in the download modus.
Now it starts to boot, but stays on the "Samsung" logo and heats up like crazy.

Now I cannot back up any thin, cannot get to the phone at all.

I cannot get it started in the "safe mode"- same problem. Nor in the Recovery mode. I can get the menus that would ultimately let me do a factory reset.... but then I would lose not only my pictures, but also all my contacts and such.

Help??

When you're in the Recovery menu, are you able to Wipe Cache Partition?
