Hi
Apologies if this question has already been discussed but I didn't manage to find it.

I haven't used 3G on my Nexus 7 yet and I'm planning to use it for the 1st time in Majorca only I am really struggling to find info on this subject like where & which SIM cards to buy, price, reviews, speed etc. Would be interested to hear from anyone who has used theirs in Spain or other countries with there experiences and comments.

Thanks.

First, check days rates with AT&T and T-Mobile. International rates may change your use as wool add you need to make sure 3G is available where you are headed. No matter what find a way to utilize WiFi especially free.

I just got back from Jamaica and had the same questions prior to my trip. Whether I used my N7 on SIM with either company or data on my VZW SG3 my data charges would have been through the roof. If I used my phone there it was like 2 or 3 followers per minute. What I found is the all inclusive resort did not have free WiFi so I paid $30 for 7 days unlimited WiFi. The 2nd catch was WiFi only worked in the resort lobby so any web surfing or look up or email and all other things I went to lobby for about an hour at night and varied times when necessary during day.

Make sure you find out what works and what prices are before you sign up for anything.

Buenos dias,

Living in Cyprus after 2 years in Spain.

Vodaphone is a main operator in both countries (as Telifonica in Spain and Cyta in Cyprus) with 3G networks in both, 20 Euros gets me 200 Mbs for 60 days.

Mini SIM will cost you about 15 Euros with 10 Euros credit, go to one of the many mobile provider shops and get them to set the system up for you, saves you time and effort!

Saludos

Hi

Thanks to you both for replying, I will take advantage of any free WiFi but the hotel I am staying in charges ?3 per hour which will pay for a Sim card deal hopefully over a week. There are at least seven mobile phone shops in Palma so I will see what they have to offer.

Cheers

:)
