Using Samsung Dex...looking for an RDP that will go full screen....

Using a Smart VPN back to office....need to get to W10PRO computer via RDP and want to get full screen via the SAMSUNGS8/DEX. So far, haven't found an RDP that will allow adjust to full screen. Anyone know how to do this?

CHROME Remote Desktop works...to full screen....but the mouse does not sync....keyboard works correctly. After a little review, found that I needed to have a mouse plugged into a USB port on the laptop. Apparently, Chrome RDP does not recognize the onboard touchpad. Trip to office>>Did that.... Later, at home office...opened an RDP session and seemed to have same problem....until I clicked the small mouse icon in upper right screen on RDP desktop....to show using "Touch Screen"....and....the mouse became active.... So, while this is not my preferred RDP workaround, it is the only way I have found to get full screen desktop using the Samsung Dex.

Try using Teamviewer: https://www.teamviewer.com/en/

It doesn't work at all - you get a message, that the TeamViewer app is designed solely for touch smartphones.

I'm now using the Microsoft RDP Android client and it is working full screen in Dex, been using it for several days now to run my Windows Desktop remotely full screen in DEX - no issues with keyboard or mouse, everything is excellent now.

Install and run the Android app 'DEX MAX', click on the 'Expert' tab, find the Microsoft RDP app that you downloaded and installed previously; changes the manifest for full screen use, and it re-installs the modified RDP app.

IMHO, the performance and stability is better than using the Windows RDPClient on a Windows computer.

I know this is just over a year later. I had the Microsoft RDP Android client working via DeX on my note 8. For some reason on the Note 9 it not working correctly in full screen. This even even after modifying it through DeX Max

Broke on note 9 dex. tiny desktop on left, and remote mouse use is not mapped properly.

Had Microsoft's Beta Remote Desktop App working perfectly in Dex on My Galaxy S9+ until I installed the Beta Android Pi software on my phone. Now I'm experiencing the same issues as on the Note 9...tiny desktop in the upper left hand side of the screen.

Even if this is an older thread: Does anyone know why the RDP session is greyed out as soon as I type an input on the mobile device (in my case, a Samsung Galxy Tab S4)? I would like to use the tablet to take notes while connected to my PC on DEX.

I have recently been diving into the world of Dex with my newly obtained Note 9. I have used Splashtop for remote access for years and have found that it works really well with Dex including running full screen - in case anyone was still looking for a good solution. I had problems with the Microsoft RDP connection. I also tried to use Chrome Remote Desktop and experienced the same problems that were mentioned earlier in this thread. I have been using Linux on Dex (which is awesome!) and as a way to try and work around the Chrome Remote Desktop issues, I tried running it within the Linux on Dex since I normally use the Chrome Remote Desktop on my Linux box. But the Chrome solution doesn't run in Linux on Dex. I recommend Splashtop.
