Android Central Question

My wife has a Samsung Galaxy A13. We're not tech-savy (anymore). On older phones I had no problem making the memory card the default for photos etc. Not so anymore.
Think we had accomplished it before an update in Oct 22 then it suddenly started using internal storage. It has to be a simple task, but we can't find the correct procedure to get it done. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks in advance.

Start the camera app. Just click on the camera icon. There should be a gear icon in the upper left corner (or bottom left if holding the phone in landscape mode).

In those settings, a little past half-way down, you should see "Storage location". That's where you set it to "Internal storage" or "SD Card".

If the SD card had ever been removed and the camera app used, it would have reset itself back to internal storage by default. But, after putting the card back in, the next time the camera app was used, it should have automatically asked where to save pictures.
