Hi everyone. Not sure if this can be done but I just got a free nexus 7 WiFi only. Is it possible to use my phone to get internet access if I'm not around WiFi? On a road trip for example?
I have the mobile hotspot app that came with the bolt. I've never used it. My phone is stock and not rooted.

Thank you!

Shouldn't be that difficult. When you are going to turn on the hotspot on your Tbolt, you should be able to configure it's SSD and password. Once you've done so, turn the feature on.

..then on your Nexus 7, just search for the SSID and connect.

Could call the carrier, they can assist.

I'd recommend rooting and then you can use wireless tethering for free. Won't hurt the phone - if anything will make it better.

Thanks for the replies. I tried easy tether lite with the tablet add-on and it didn't work. My N7 could not see my tbolt on Bluetooth.
