Just curious, I am thinking of getting a AT&T One X, unlocking it and using it on T-Mobile. Just wondering if anyone has done that and if so, what were the data speeds? Also, were there any drawbacks to using the phone on T-Mobile? Thanks

It will work, but you will only get EDGE speeds, because the phone does not have T-MO 3G data band capabilities.

There are better options (different phones for use on T-MO, or other carriers to work with the One X), so I wouldn't recommend this. You won't be happy.

However, there are some t-Mo markets where this might work.

thanks for the info. could you recommend a better phone for T-Mo's network? I was going to wait for a Nexus 4 before switching to T-Mo

Depends on where you live. Chicago has the 1900mhz thing active so I get 4g speeds on my intl One X

I just did what you wanted to do. T-Mo already refarmed my area. My unlocked One X gets 5-10mbps down and 1-4mbps up.
