Can you use the web and talk on the phone at the same time? Does the phone utilize VoLTE ? Considering buying this phone outright to replace my LG G4.

Yes. Verizon supports VoLTE on the 6P and you can talk and use the web at the same time.

Mine works swimmingly on all counts. With my state employee discount on their BYOD plan I pay $72/mo all inclusive for talk text and 6 gigs of high speed data. Been thinking about trying cricket lately (i could get unlimited data for a little less with them, at 8mbps), but man I really do like Verizon's coverage. FYI you will likely have to enable HD calling/VOLTE by calling Verizon or going into a store. On my phone, it didn't get activated simply by inserting the sim card.

Cricket is on AT&T towers, which doesn't have bad coverage either.

True but its an mvno and you don't get cell tower priority. Slower ping times, reduced data speeds, less coverage than post paid. Coverage is definitely good (and will suit most ppl just fine), but its not great.
