Release date? :)
Don't know. I have a lot of things to do still.

1. I have to get my website organized to accommodate guides and high traffic.
2. Ordered an SSL certificate (it's what makes websites use https://). I got it today and will be installing.
3. I have to work on embedding MediaFire's cloud storage service in my toolkit.
4. Add source code on github.

Lots of cool stuff, but takes time. Aiming for sometime mid September. Are you in a rush? Do you need it by a certain date?

I had to unroot my phone and send it in to be serviced, but something messed up so now it just reboots, and reboots, and reboots, and reboots. So I'm hoping re-rooting and flashing another rom will fix it.

No rush. ^_^

Well. If you still have a recovery installed, you can flash a ROM without root.

Hey Wizzrah. I first just want to say thank you for all your replies to comments so far. You seem super helpful and your new HTC One M7/M8 rootkit isn't even out yet. That said, I am asking for a sincere favor.

I recently got an unlocked HTC One M7 (I believe GSM running KitKat 4.4.3 Sense 6) because I'm sure like you I do love the device (size, dpi, responsiveness, etc.); however, I am have a tough time rooting it. I've tried rooting on OSX 10.9.X and Windows 8.1 via terminal/cmd methods and squibble 2.0 rootkit (hasson 2000 would run on windows 8 or fully unrar). I keep getting to the adb backup stage right in the beginning and each method gives me an error saying a device not found error. Googling has thus far gotten me to this point.

I know this isn't a ton of details, but if you'd be willing to help I can take you through what I've done, screenshots and all, and hopefully I can get the device running rooted, bootloader unlocked, and running each a port of MutliROM I found for it with Sense 6 and Paranoid Android, or even just a android rom.

I know you must be busy, but If you could render some help, I could give you further details on the situation, that'd be most appreciated.

Thanking you in advance,

ArmofJustice

Thank you for your kind words and interest in my program. It will be out either this week or next week. Do you have the HTC drivers installed on your computer along with USB Debugging enabled on your phone?

I do have debugging enabled, and I installed what either other kits had me install (WIndows 8.1 and OSX), or what my HTC One M7 automatically linked me to in order to install after first plugging in (OSX). If you point me to the right drivers, I may be able to connect. I only got Android Device Transfer on OSX to recognize my phone with my phone plugged in on a restart. The HTC Sync Manager on OSX will auto launch but never find a phone. CMD keeps saying no device found or a related error on both operating systems :/.

Anything I can do to help aid/diagnose or just wait for the kit I'll do. I'm not the post and pray for help type I'll try to do my part XD.

Hmm. When you say Windows 8.1, is it a virtual machine? Also, in general, 8.1 sucks with adb and fastboot. I suggest using Windows 7 if possible.

As for my toolkit, I'm working on the back end for distributing files. Hopefully, I'll be able to use a file host that has end to end encryption. Not saying who specifically that host is for now :)

Nope. I running full Windows 8.1 off a Dell Venue 8 Pro with latest updates. II think I might have a bootcamped HDD with windows 7 a few months old but I'll have to dig for it. I'm just looking forward to your guidance as it'll be applicable as of the time of posting, drivers, instructions and all.

Will it be impossible to use my Windows 8.1 OS (again not a virtual machine) to do this with your method, which I also assume won't support OSX (which I don't mind I just want the thing rooted). It's been sitting in the box for a week now and its killing the nerd inside.

Windows 8.1 is notorious for having problems with ADB and Fastboot. There could be several problems. My toolkit might be able to fix your problem, since it comes with the latest ADB and Fastboot files from Google.

That sounds great. Does it also come with the latest HTC drivers that I need? I guess I'm afraid of running prompts and installing conflicting drivers especially since none of this worked properly on OSX or Win 8.1 (and i'd be willing to dig up my HDD)

Sounds great. Can't wait to root my htc one m7. We've got say a couple more weeks?
Maybe. I was aiming for a September launch and I'm hauling my behind working on final edits for my website, toolkit, etc. Plus I got schoolwork and life's getting in my way heh. I'm sure you'll have a rooted phone in no time :)

Still aiming for a September launch...

I can't wait for this to be released! Will this toolkit work on the newest up to date software? Also will a Verizon M7 version be released? Their bootloaders can be a pain the ****. We all appreciate the work you're putting into this!

(side note: Any idea how to get my phone out of the QHSUSB_DLOAD state that it is currently in? It won't turn on or load bootloader)

Hello, welcome to Android Central. The new toolkit will support over 30 devices and the M7 is included.

As for your dilema, I'm sorry to say that when a device is in QHSUSB_DLOAD mode, it means it's bricked. If you cannot get the phone recognized on your computer as storage, you are stuck. You can send it to HTC because I heard they can replace the motherboard, but it will cost you money.

Thanks for the info. I reached out to HTC and they quoted me a not so wallet friendly price. Guess I have no choice! Anyways, excited as ever to see the toolkit. It will be a game changer.

Hey don't work, some of us are students and professionals here too! You seem super legit so take your time! Haste makes waste, but this seems like a great kit, just can't wait to root my HTC M7 after 5 or 6 failed attempts is months old threads.
