Re: **OMG NOW WITH VIDEO!** root, bootloader unlock,s-off at&t htc one x on 3.18 update!

I just didn't want to have to be forced to continually use just beastmode. I want to try different ones. Upgrading the hboot give me the option to try other kernels to see which one caters the best to me. Without reboots or data drops. I haven't run into an actual bootloop. Not on this phone at least. Just random Reboots. But all that is in the past....moving on :D

You could have also used the elementalx kernel!

There are several methods that have worked for different individuals. What is the error or problems you are facing

The reason is because you need the update the binaries for SuperSU. I am going to release an update today that will have the updated SuperSU.zip. I will appreciate your patience.

Re: AT&T One X Root, Boot unlock, S-off on the Jellybean 3.18 OTA Update

Also, it is taking me a little while for the 32-bit version. I'm having trouble compiling it since I have a 64bit computer. I actually designed this to work on any format but I guess I'll have to build them both seperately. Will have to install on a 32bit computer and build from there :(

Is there any possibilities to run 64-bit software in a 32-bit computer by any means....? (did i Sound like a NOOB:confused:)

Not that I've heard of. only works the other way around (32bit works on 64bit). I am working hard on the 32bit! Sorry :/

Well I'll be a... So while checking this thread again, I had a "I could of had a V8" knock in the head moment. I am on a 5 year old Dell Inspiron laptop that is running Windows 7 Home Premium 32 bit, Processor is an Intel Yonah Core Duo T2300 (1.66 GHz/2MB L2 Cache)... and the toolkit, version 2.1 is working! Yes it says on pg 1 the toolkit only works on 64 bit & I obviously didn't read all the words. Pretty sure this Dell Inspiron E1405 has a 32 bit processor. But it is working. Go figure dat!

I plan on downloading visual studio on a 32bit computer and then producing the file there.

Re: AT&T One X Root, Boot unlock, S-off on the Jellybean 3.18 OTA Update

Sorry but this is my first time.
I plugged by phone in, and ran the program, clicked on step one. the command prompt then popped up. Screenshot 2013-11-16 16.37.30.png
then my phone reboots in to a white screen (recovery mode?) which option do i select, bootloader , reboot, reboot bootloader, or power down?
i tried a few and none really did anything on the computer end.

is there a set of instructions posted that i missed?

Nope. That mode you are seeing is called "bootloader mode" but it seems your computer is not finding your phone. Just turn off the phone and turn it back on. You need to install drivers. Also make sure you have it connected to a usb 2.0 port and are using the stock HTC cable.

I just reinstalled the drivers. When I just normally plug my phone into my computer everything is recognized fine but when it reboots through the root program, it has an error that says the usb device is unrecognized. I no longer have the original htc cable so i am using a motorola cable. Is that the problem?

You can use a different cable as long as it is an insulated one. I was using an LG one and it was insulated and worked fine. Insulated cables feel thicker and have white writing on them displaying voltage info. I had to Re install drivers a couple of time and use usb port on the back of my pc

It might be, but I'm not necessarily sure. I suggested the HTC cable to guarantee that it works.

It might be, but I'm not necessarily sure which cables work. I suggested the HTC cable to guarantee that it works. Like for example, I also used an amazon brand usb cable and it worked.

Re: AT&T One X Root, Boot unlock, S-off on the Jellybean 3.18 OTA Update

Hey Wizzrah,
As I posted a while ago, thanks a ton for making this toolkit ! This is by far the easiest way for the One XL !! Job well done :)
You mentioned in a post that you were working on your own ROM....is this going to be a Sense ROM? I'm asking this because, ever since I installed TWRP and S-OFF and unlocked the bootloader, I've been trying different ROMs. All AOSP ROMs I tried gave me major issues in the form of reboot loops and crashes (including Carbon 4.3, CM 4.2.2 stable (I know right!) and CM 4.3). I believe some minor hardware drivers are not installed properly in these ROMs (eg. noise-cancelling microphone). I've been on CleanROM 7 P1 as you recommended and it works great - no crashes, everything works!

Keep up the good work!!

Yes it will be sort of stock. I am trying to base it on either Android 4.3 Jelly Bean or Android 4.4 Kit Kat so we will see how it goes! Thanks!
