Do have an idea why my X will turn off when I'm actually talking on it? It has done this since it was rooted, no a big big deal, just wondering

ViperXL has lots of problems. I'm surprised you stayed with it for so long. You should try the Stock ROM I recommended or just one in general. Remember to make a backup in recovery. Also might as well mention this. Beastmode kernel is only for Sense ROMs. Don't flash it on Stock ROMs.

Ok I'll try another tonight. The last time I tried one, everytime the phones screen turned off the signal was lost...even though it was set in the settings not to do that..lol

That Kernel is good for Stock ROMs. Great choice. You're fine with the stock kernel as well. Either way, let me know if you see any bugs.

So far, the only issue I have is, I can't find a good music player, a lot of my music won't play with these players I've downloaded. Whatever viper ROM came with played flawlessly..... WMA, mp3, ect.....urg.

Easy fix. Try Shuttle music player for music files and MX Player for videos.

Try another music player like DoubleTwist.
