V2 Screen going black

Just an update! I've had FB Messenger on my phone since I've had this Chromebook which has been a little over a year. And maybe it was an update and I am hoping that was the problem. It's really weird but yesterday I was debating on the power wash and I was playing my slot game and I got a FB Messenger message and it showed up at the bottom corner and my screen went black and I thought it was weird and it got me thinking did it always do it when I got a messenger message and I'll be darn I uninstalled FB Messenger and so far it hasn't done it again. I am playing right now for a it to make sure but last night it didn't do it and I played for a bit so I think I am fixed.

Anyway I appreciate everyone's help and am glad that's all it is. I just hated to start over even though I don't have that many apps on here but re-signing in to everything it's just a pain remembering LOL! But thanks again for trying to help me.

Aha! Good detective work. Facebook is notorious for bugs on Android devices themselves, so it wouldn't be surprising for them to be even wonkier on Chromebooks. Send them some feedback, on the off chance they actually pay attention to it and try to fix the bug!

Yes all night last night i used the Chromebook just to test it and it didn't do it at all. So yes it was Facebook Messenger. So I guess I can put my Spectrum app back on which I got so spectrum wifi would show up in certain places without wifi. But I'm glad it's working now. But it had to be from an update cause it never did it before. But I just go to Facebook from the browser if I want to see my messages now no big deal or I use my phone. Thanks!
