V20 camera glass, anyone break it yet?

Remember when the V20 was first released, there was a buzz going on about the fragile V20 camera glass breaking easily? Where are all the broken V20 cameras now? Was it just a conspiracy started by competitors? In this day and age, these types of tactics happen, no surprise. I recall someone ridiculously saying they dropped it on carpet floor and the camera shattered... well I dropped mines on concrete and not a single scratch.

Some guy said "I borrowed and swapped my phone with my co-worker's phone to try it out for a day. It was on my bed and fell on the carpet floor and the camera shattered. I had to owe my co-worker money to buy a new phone."

I'm seeing reports of the V30 camera with same issue.

I had a pretty hard drop this weekend on hard wood - right on the back, and everything turned out just fine. Picked it up expecting broken camera glass.

My V20 never broke but my G5 did

I've never had an issue and I've dropped it so many times! there was a lady on here who said the camera randomly broke while it was in her purse. She kept posting about it but other than that it really wasn't a common matter

There was her and a few others I saw. Of the ones that did show pictures of the damage (and most people claiming this didn't post any photos, making them suspect of being false claims), they all showed an obvious point of impact. So even those with "proof" are suspect to being false... Or just people that damaged them from abuse and looking for a fraudulent warranty claim.

Tempered glass can spontaneously shatter for a variety of reasons. I think most of the V20s were damaged by sharp objects though I could never figure out how my G5 shattered. It wasn't due to a drop. LG is not alone in this though. If you search eBay you will see replacement glass for lots of phones and I've seen reports of Samsungs with similar issues.

Mine broke a couple months ago and big parts of it chipped off. Waited too long to replace, now my camera is hazy & blurry all the time.

Same here. Dropped it nearly 5 feet on cement with a case on. Expected a cracked camera, but the phone was untouched. The V10 and V20 are both very durable phones. The V20 combines thinness with durability.. people say the V20 looks ugly but I actually really enjoy the look of it.. it looks different and pretty minimalistic. It was a huge step up from the G5 which was a failed experiment, the V20 made up for it.

I definitely like the appearance of the V20. I'm using a clear case on mine: a Ringke, since I want to show off the silver V20.
