V20 or V30?

I see no need to buv v30. If I wanted all glass 2 by I dimensions I would get an S8 plus
Better screen, even if v30 goes Amoled
Imho

True, S8+ might still beat the V30, unless the V30 made drastic changes. They already lost points for having a sealed back.

As long as there still is a quad DAC, high quality audio, dual cameras, SD card, and the sealed battery is larger and more efficient, I will definitely check it out.

SD 835 is much more efficient. But a full day of heavy usage? Unless it's a 4000 mAh, expect to plug it in at least twice a day.

I don't remove my battery unless I'm swapping the SIM to another device anyway. So the removable battery debate isn't one I'm concerned with. The Quad DAC and the second screen are my too loves with the V20. I like the big screen of the V20, I'd love to see what a wider version in the V30 would be like. That being said, some of the rumors are it will be just like the new "longer" screens that make a phone bigger. Give me a wider, not longer screen. There's also the rumor it will move to the AMOLED screen. The ability to pair the V30 with VR is an intriguing facade. But to be honest, the V20 is doing everything I could want in a device and I don't see the V30 having enough jump in advancements that I'd "need" to get it.

Hopefully they aren't sticking with the stupid new aspect ratio. Not looking forward to stretching out YouTube videos and reaching super far for the notification bar.

Honestly the sealed back phones are mainly for the following reasons:

-Good looks
-Waterproofing
-Money making opportunities for manufactures to repair devices and eventually forced phone upgrades every 1.5-2 years.

The only reason for glass back is wireless charging.
Yeah it's pretty - but they have made waterproof phones before without glass.

I like the aspect ratio.. It's great on the G6 but might be a little too big on a bigger device... But then again the S8+

And they've made wireless charging phones without glass.

I'm thinking it's mostly a profit motive for the manufacturers, and a little from people that only care about looks..who in turn immediately throw it into a protective case that hides those good looks. So really, it's all about profit.

All you G6ers are going to jump to the V30 right on preorder day.
Not me.. If I jump, I'll wait a few months for a huge discount... Or wait for the V40 if I even do go back to the V series. I had the g2, then the G4, then the V10 and V20 and the G6. So I don't mind skipping generations.

That generation skip was a long time go....lol

2 years ago I had the g4, skipped the G5 mainly cause it bootlooped before anyone knew what the bootloop was. I was told I would have to pay to fix it so I jumped to the V10, then got the G4 fixed for free.... G5 came out and didn't want to get a new phone at the time (last year) but later got the V20.. So yes i skipped last year's G model and then came back.. Lol

Oops missed the G5

Probably better to get a deal on the LG V20, if the LG V30 decides to lose what made it the standout phone: removable battery and durable build quality.

I've had exactly the same series of phones, except I haven't tried the G6. I still have all of them, and they all still work!
