V20 Roll Call.... Who is still with me and this fabulous piece of equipment?

I'm not going to lie, I thought the first week. I made a mistake getting this phone. What got me is all the comments about the boot loop etc.
I had no experience with LG products so I had no foundation.
Needless to say, as resitance became acceptance. Due to the fact I was stuck for min with it.
The light has come to the end if darkness here.
Lg V 20 is a nice device. Now I know the device like my last name. It all in how you use it, it stands under pressure .
The entire loop thing probably has been more emphasize by the very first person out if 100 that actually had an issue. It's obvious due to new device's on a current basis.

I got mine last weekend.

It's a killer phone that does everything I want or need it to.

I ordered and had the u11 in hand and took it in the next day and swapped it for my v20... Happy Happy Happy 👍

Exactly....it does everything I need and it will take a lot to make jump to something else

I'm still here with the V20. I love this phone. Although I've found that the battery life is starting to decrease now but it's still going strong... As it should, the phone is only about 8 months old.

I bet a ton of you swap once the next new phone comes out .. even if a minor upgrade. Not faulting you .. I do the same .. I just am pretty sure to call this :P.

I'm still making payments on this thing and that's a bit of a deterrent.

I'm only speaking for myself but right now I actually can't think of anything that I don't already have that I really want. They would have to improve severely on what I already do have. As an example, I won't trade up if they add water resistance, wireless charging and amoled.

It ain't happening but If they were to significantly enlarge the camera sensor, and add optical zoom or at least bring up the megapixels count on the wide angle I might be tempted. Throw in a larger removable battery in addition to the camera features and I might begin to droll. The DAC is fine the way it is except I'd prefer to have control over the output but that's not something I'd jump for. As an afterthought, Google daydream compatibility might peak my interest.

I agree, nature of people on forums like this one. Me I think I will stay with V20

Meh .. I have heard that before :P.

Yeah I'm sure you have, but not from me. Before the G5 I kept my Motorola Droids at least till upgrade eligibility which used to be two years. The G5 is the only phone that I ever jumped out of with less than a year of ownership.

That's pretty much exactly it for me. The only thing that would push me to upgrade would be a significant camera improvement coupled with a large battery improvment.

As it stands now I've used the camera enough to know how to get the most out of my shots (I think every camera has a learning curve) so the idea of switching for a minor improvment in one area and jumping back into that learning curve is a deterrent.

True but that is why I did say "a ton of you" and not "all of you" ;).

Oh...I'm certain a lot will jump that participate here. The only thing we can't be sure of is how many removable battery loyalists will be jump if the V30 seals up the battery and doesn't increase the size by a decent margin.

If that happens it will go one of two ways. There will be die hard "V20 for life due to removable" (kind of like what we had with the Note 4) -- and then some who accept the inevitable (which that is what it would be at that point) and just upgrade to either the V30 or some other phone.

I doubt I will since it appears all the new phones will be 18/9 and I really hate the skinny picture. It also affects my use of excel which I normally do in portrait view so keyboard doesn't take up 3/4 of the screen.

I will upgrade eventually, probably when security updates stop but definitely not for the next new thing that has only slight improvements.

I am anxious to see what the new super duper iPhone 8 looks like but unlikely I would switch phones for it.

I bet more folks keep this one, especially if LG looses the replaceable battery or does a glass back and curved edges on it.

I know that some folks will be all kiddy and just have to have the latest version... But they will alienate their core users, just like Samsung did when they removed the SD card.. And the phone will flop. LG isn't Samsung and can't really afford another flop like the g5... That I will take bets on...
