V20 versus S7 edge. Which would you pick?

Re: Is it worth buying an unlocked V20 vs carrier one?

True or an iphone. Why is there so much iphone 7 plus bashing on the LG and Samsung forums for?

Well this is Android Central lol. Funny though, over at iMore they really don't hate on Android much. The iPhone 7 is a stellar device, and iOS is a great OS, no question about it. That being said, there's virtually no customization. If you don't like it the way Apple gives it to you, there's not much you can do to change it.

The V20 is a great phone for media creation and playback. I'm having a lot of fun with the video camera, and the DAC is amazing. Outside of the Pixel, I don't think another US based carrier phone can touch it performance-wise. It really runs well.

What about the unlocked US version of the V20?

For $100 more, I would get brand new. Just don't be surprised by the annoying and invasive Mobile Services Manager/DT Ignite app on the unlocked V20. After factory resetting it twice, it was on there each time preloading unwanted games and draining battery. You can disable it, but it is a pestilence. I already mentioned this earlier below.

BH has a open Box V20 unlocked for 700 dollars. Is the 100 bucks worth the savings or is that taking a gamble even though it has warranty still?

The T-mobile version is 769, and if you pick one up in the store you don't have to pay any shipping. The T-Mobile version is about as close to unlocked as you can get as far as bloatware and other BS. I know you have mentioned issues with returning items to T-Mobile in the past, but overall their return process is actually very smooth , especially if you are doing a 14 day return. I have done it several times since the Note 7 debacle and had zero issues.

I just traded in my S7 Edge (which i got on the day it released back in March) last night. It's my first LG phone. I'm really liking it so far. I have had several Samsung phones (S4, S5, S6, S7 Edge) and I like Samsung but TouchWiz is just an unruly beast. So far, this phone seems much more smooth. Still getting used to a few things and I always use a third party launcher (Apex or Nova). I must say that while I didn't think I'd like the button on the back of the phone, I'm actually getting used to it and I think I like it. I must say, the fingerprint reader is amazing! I might even say it's faster and more accurate than the S6 and S7 were and that's saying something because I had great luck with those phones.

It's hard for me to say which one I like better at this point. I just have ADD with phones. I generally can't last a year on the same phone. LOL. I was going to hold out for the S8 but the more I read about the V20, I decided to just pull the trigger.

I asked tforce on twitter and they said they can't say for sure if wifi calling works on the unlocked version with tmobile or not.

No wi fi calling on the unlocked V20 with T-Mobile sim card. I bought the unlocked from B&H and returned it. Also, the horrible Mobile Services Manager/DT Ignite bloatware app that installs unwanted games and apps was on my unlocked after I did a factory reset on it. I posted a thread about this last week. I returned and bought the T-Mobile variant instead, which doesn't have the MSM/DT Ignite (yet, that is) and does have wifi calling.

My earlier post addressing your wifi calling question with T-Mobile. No wifi calling on it.

Does unlocked V20 support all tmobile bands, LTE?

I'm trying to figure it out if the unlocked version supports band 66 on Tmobile. I'm seeing conflicting responses. Does it support LTE as well?

Re: Does unlocked V20 support all tmobile bands, LTE?

I had LTE with my T-Mobile sim in the unlocked V20.

I took back my s7 she yesterday and got the v20. It's weird but I love it. Will stock with it until the note 8 comes out.

I did install Google now as the stock launched doesn't have an app drawer. Love it.

I'm now sick with finding a screen protector, that is good ratings, and a case. Can anyone link a good screen protector and case(s)?
