V30+ Customer Jealous of Note 8 Display

Oh ok. Thanks. I told him he might think the note8 is nice but he wouldn't use the spen and he really shouldn't have a curved or glass phone. He'll break it lmao. Even with a best case possible. He really don't care for these new phones now days anyways. He just really wants to just be able to make calls, text, check email, Facebook, stuff like that. I told him I was going to try to look into something cheaper cause he doesn't want to spend alot on a phone that he ain't going to be glued to like I am with my note8. Lol. I told him that in that case note8 should be off the list lol. He even tried my iPhone 7 plus and he didn't like that one lol.

If you're looking to pick up something a little less expensive I'd check out the Essential Phone too. The camera has had a few updates so it ain't to bad now and the rest of the phone is very nice. I think you can get them currently for around $449.

Will being on Sprint, I lose out on a lot of phone options. I've also suffered through the G4 debacle.

I did make my choice though. Tonight I'm thoroughly enjoying setting up my new V30+

Not saying it's better by any means. The Note 8 is stellar. I just love the wide angle.

Unless LG starts buying screens from Samsung they just ain't gonna compare! Samsung is THE best at phone screens. That being said there IS a lot to like about the LG V30/V30+ especially if you are a music lover. It has one of the best DAC(s), which is what helps to process and produce the audio the device outputs. It also has great camera sensors for pictures and video. Of course the Note 8 is no slouch in that area also!

It comes down to what feature you wanted and will use most. And if it was wide angle camera then I think you made a good choice. I think that wide angle will be fun.

Where the reviews may be pointing to the Pixel having the 'best camera'... I think the LG V30 probably has the best 'dual camera setup'... even though it may miss OIS on the wide angle.

The V30 would have been my number 2 choice because it sounds like an overall solid phone... but the main feature I wanted in my next phone was S-Pen so that's that.

With that DAC the v30 probably take best audio this year too or RAZR with the dual speakers.

Best display will go to Note 8.

With the included earbuds I didn't see what the big deal was with the DAC. Then I plugged in my Bose headphones and WOW. Very impressed!

I've just recently activated my V30 and I'm really enjoying it so far.

Lol nothing yet. He keeps playing with my note8 and now he wants one. He knows I wanted that blue note8 so he trying to get me to get that so he can have my black note8. But as much as I want that blue one I don't want to deal with best buy. So we waiting for the blue to come out next week and I'm going to see it in person. If I choose to get the blue then he will get my black note8. But I'll probably just wait to see what note9 has to offer and just get another black note8 for him. Yes he won't use it like I do but he really wants it so I'll get it for him. Ain't never seen him so set on a phone before lol.

Honestly I can't blame him. While I went with the V30, the Note 8 and the Pixel XL 2 were right there too.

So many good phones this year.
