Verizon %50 off for Note 7 owners, help convince me yes or no

Am I an fool not to take Verizon up on this offer ?

I was happy to see the email from Verizon this morning stating I could get %50 the N8 trading in my N5. However I'm still on the fence. I had first looked into the Samsung promotion for previous N7 owners and while my N5 is mint, I didn't want to go through the hassle of the process. Dealing with Verizon directly and how good this deal is though, it's tempting.

Another thing that held me back is I don't really like the black/Orchid Grey colors. Originally thought I'd wait until the holidays maybe there would be some good deals and the cost of the phone may have dropped by then. Also at the time it's possible more colors would be available, I'd personally like the blue or green we've seen in web pics. This is a crazy good deal though, %50 of N8 and either 360 camera or memory card/wireless charge dock.

I guess I'm looking for some opinions to nudge me one way or the other. The Verizon offer I was emailed today didn't have an expiration date, but I'd imagine it probably won't hang around long enough to wait for more colors to be released.

Buy a case in your preferred color and voila! Only difference is your SPen won't match - minor glitch.

If you're okay with waiting, you may still get your preferred color, a lower price and freebies. It's a gamble.

I'm going through my carrier. I'm not stuck dealing with Samsung if there's a problem. I don't pay my phones off anyway so... Samsung has done shady stuff in the past, so I'm leary of dealing with them directly.

I bought from Samsung only because Verizon did not allow me a trade in offer for my phone. I have a LG V20. I really think the note series has the best of all worlds and is a much better phone, been waiting to go back.
