Verizon allowing early upgrades

True. I am just saying -- Verizon isn't going to give someone a contract / subsidized phone and then let them off the hook :P.

Official Policy doesn't allow it but it has happened to me a few times . It has happened to others too.

There's also a way to reduce etf by moving to a loyalty plan which automatically kicks in. $175 etf

or just do the current Best Buy Verizon promotion... as long as the line is still on 2-year subsidized contract, buying a new phone from the list will remove the $350 ETF and switch the line to a new DPP. :) (link in post #1 ) Not sure how long Best Buy is running this promo.

I wanted to check to see if I could but they say that they can't locate my information. Could their site be down? Thanks!

I just entered my Verizon account info a few minutes, the Best Buy website showed that my other line is eligible.

If you are a Verizon customer, did you enter all the information correctly?(including the account PIN#, if there is one) If you're sure your line is still under 2-year contract(from purchase of a subsidized phone), then call Verizon tomorrow and ask them to look up your account?

You do know that Verizon's other name is YMMVerizon, right?
True! Called back and got different rep. This one told me the DPP would take off contract and lower monthly access to $20. I don't believe him....The fun of Verizon customer service!
