Verizon Galaxy Nexus (Prime) Waiting Room

That's what I assumed when they said there was a shortage. It wasn't going to affect Google. Google has probably been working with TI for almost a year and to say TI has a shortage a month before release is unlikely....to say the least....IMHO.

I know... I think possibly the reason there's a shortage for another OEM is because they're using a huge number with the NP.

Also, I like most of the spec Ideas, but for some reason I get the feeling that they're gonna announce different specs, or maybe even not announce it at all... Just a feeling (A feeling that I strongly pray is untrue)

*runs around room like wild man screaming*

Nexus on Verizon Nexus on Verizon! Woohoo!

I know how you feel. I'm so pumped over this. I hope everything pans out to be true, specification wise. Only twelve more days until an announcement!! - hopefully... **crosses fingers**

Well, I am optimistic. I am feeling pretty good overall about the device I think. I care much less than most around here about it it's pure Google ( i might actually prefer it not stock be if it has ICS actually - I like touchwiz). But I will be very happy either way for sure. Really looking forward to this.

Pretty much how I feel at this point. Even if its stock, I'd finally be getting rid of my ancient Droid 1. If I survived with stock this long, I can with the Prime, and enjoy the benefits of owning a Nexus handset. :)

While I think it's ridiculous, and a bad marketing move, that Verizon has never gotten a Nexus phone I don't know if anyone can say for sure who is getting it or who has the exclusive. All other Nexus phones were put on T-mobile first despite all the rumors, I actually think it would be odd for the to break pattern; especially without any talk of a falling out between T-mobile and Google. I think all this should be taken with a gain of salt and we should wait and hear what Google an Samsung have to say. I may be living in a fantasy world since I have T-mobile and I really want the phone, but I'm trying to remember that this is all just here say.

It's not just heresay. It's heresay from people we know and trust. :) Really, there are many signs pointing to Verizon getting it. There have been talks and rumors about it being an exclusive for a while, and then all of the major carriers getting it. But, the culmination of all of the information (or "heresay") would point to Verizon getting it.

We all were duped with the Nexus One, thinking it was coming to VZW. I guess we'll see.

"All other"? I thought there have only been two...and that's not enough to constitute a pattern.

You're right it's not as though the rumors are coming from untrustworthy sources. I'm always a little hesitant to jump onto any rumor, since it is just that. I really feel like Verizon did get shafted out of a Nexus phone and it would be great for those user to get one. It just feels like everyone is jumping ahead and taking this as fact, and all that will do is be disappointing if the talk isn't true. I just don't want people to be upset if Google rips the carpet out from people's feet. I know know it would suck, but maybe just a little less if everyone remembers that this is just rumors.

I guess what I was trying to say was that Google has pretty much dropped all the dev phones on T-mobile first, going all the way back to the G1.

The original Droid wasn't branded a Nexus, but it seems to have functioned as one, no?

Samsung.
4.6-inch screen.
ICS.

VERIZON.

Going to keep my VZW line open with it's available upgrade. If the Prime is "touched" by Verizon crap-ware or locked in any way, then I pass, I pass, because 300Mhz, .08 more screen, or a few more pixels than what I have BEEN using don't mean crap if ICS isn't pure. Come on Verizon, enough with crappy crap. Lets see a Nexus, not Droid.
