Verizon Galaxy Nexus (Prime) Waiting Room

funny how Cellebrite doesnt show carrier based phones, it is showing the phone model it doesnt mean it will be for Verizon, FYI Tmobile and metroPCS have the same device and shows the same model, still not Verizon.

SCH = Verizon. Only other carrier with similar model numbers are US Celluar.

ICS on this phone is reported to be vanilla Android and have re-sizable widgets and other advantages....that's good. If it is on Verizon it perhaps won't have Verizon apps like Zumocast, and I guess it won't have Samsung Kies air or media hub.

Don't care about media hub and I guess you can get Facebook an Twitter from the market. With Vanilla Android will we be able to connect this phone to my computer and move files back and forth between them like we can on the OG droid?

We can always install another launcher(launcher Pro or ADW EX) if we don't like stock but perhaps that launcher will not be optimized for dual core. If we have another launcher installed will we still get updates pushed from Google or will the launcher invalidate the Google update process?

We are all getting a version of the nexus. Lets all relax and bask in the glow of a phone poor college grads like me can spend our hard earned cash on without regrets (aka recent verizon lineup).

Lets keep the forums positive, thats what they are for

Speaking as a previous samsung owner on sprint....this is not true. I had many different samsung phones.

SCH=Samsung

Samsung phones on Sprint seem to have 'SPH' as model numbers in recent devices. I'm sure there was a point where it was just SCH for CDMA devices as 'SGH' is GSM devices, that's not so much the case in recent devices.

It's going to be announced in less than two weeks and very reliable sources are saying it's coming, and we're supposed to just believe somebody trying to convince us otherwise?

From a friend that works at Google "My manager got to play with the Nexus Prime and says it's a beast. It was running on Verizon LTE. Should see it around October /November ".

On a side note, i don't troll and i don't like to lie. This is what my buddy said.

Drawings of the nexus prime. Not sure if it's legit or just a concept. Looks pretty damn sweet, though.

Is this design of Google Nexus Prime? | Android Shine

4.7" screen. Will rumors never cease?!?

Are Nexus phones subsidized? I have to save up to fix my tranny, I can't throw down more than $300 for this beauty haha.

what are you talking about metroPCS has SCH R380 = Freeform 3 so you are wrong, secondly SCH is used by samsung on CDMA Carriers, like Sprint as well, still doesnt tell us anything with which carrier will end up having it.

When I read about other samsung products I see remarks about lack of updates and cheap feel but when I read about nexus it's all good.

What am I missing? I'm not trying to flame here. Its just samsung doesn't seem to be held in the very highest regard here yet the nexus brand does.

What you are missing is that people are comparing apples to oranges. Nexus phones have their updates provided by Google. Samsung phones with touchwiz have updates come from Samsung but the carrier can get in the mix (read: delay). I also think we have been having a bit of trolling lately. It maybe on purpose or just stating opinions but it hasn't helped move the conversation forward. When the Nexus comes out, go to the store and see for yourself and make your own opinion.
