Verizon: Galaxy Note 8 Pre-Order Thread

I think you're going to find one of two things....either the tracking # is for a SIM card or trade-in box they sent you....OR, that the Note 8 package WILL arrive at your local FEDEX or other depot and be HELD until September 14th....I wish they were coming sooner, but I seriously doubt it....I ordered right at midnight when they went on sale and got shipping information...When FEDEX delivered it, it felt like an empty box...it WAS. It contained the mailer for my trade-in phone...in my case the S7 Edge I had to pick when I returned the Note 7.

I'm not trading in my old phone.
I own it now.

And I have never ordered had a sim card shipped separately from the phone.
Verizon always ships their phones with the SIM pre-installed.

And it says in the email that Verizon sent me that the SIM card is pre-installed.

And according to FedEx the package is two pounds.SIM cards don't weigh two pounds.

Well, the email I received shows the pre-installed sim card with the same tracking number as the Note8. I'm turning in 3 phones and that box arrived last week. So, I'm still betting on Tuesday.

My weight says 1.2 lbs.... How can they be different, they are the same phone?

I pre-ordered the Note 7 last year. My phone NEVER left Memphis for almost 2 weeks. It would show left Memphis then within an hour it would say arrived Memphis. When my phone got to the DenverColorado hub, I got my Note 7 THE VERY NEXT DAY! I don't recall of it was Wednesday or Thursday though. But I got mine the same day people started posting they got their Note 7.

So this is NOT the same as last year. And with Verizon PUBLICLY saying they ARE coming VERY EARLY, I think Tuesday is the day.

Also, Samsung may have okayed this as the iCraple 8 is due to be unveiled the 12th. So if they stood by the 15th release people may cancel the Note 8 for the iCraple 8. Don't understand why though, it's a iCraple!!!!
You said what I've been saying . This time around appears to be different.

And last year your experience wasn't the same for everyone. There were note 7 sitting at people's local FedEx hubs for days, people tried going to the hubs to get them and most were told future date, can't give it to you.

Just curious but how are you able to follow every city it's been through? Mine only says from Tmobile Louisville, Ky and that is where I live so I suppose since the major UPS Hub is right here it doesn't have to be shipped anywhere but to my front door but nothing is moving with tmobile. I'm not sure how all this shipping Works especially coming from FedEx or UPS they all have different shipping procedures. I'm assuming all the phones came from Korea on a UPS plane or a FedEx plane they go to the major hubs which here in Louisville it's ups is a major distribution center so a lot of stuff sits over in their warehouse no matter what you're ordering I order a lot through Amazon and I can get it the next day I actually I've gotten some on the same day so that's why I wonder why this phone is having to sit there so long and I'm assuming it's because T-Mobile has not released them yet but it looks like Verizon and Sprint have release theirs unless the date is wrong and then mine is practically at my back door and they won't release it. It's all pretty strange and we'll all get them but it would be nice if things would start moving!

I see moving thru the FedEx tracking app. They come from Korea, to your carriers warehouse. The warehouse has nothing to do with FedEx or UPS. Once you preorder, your phone is assigned by the warehouse team, then placed in a separate area to be picked up. Once it gets picked up, you receive FedEx tracking.

The phone and the SIM card have the same tracking number. I will be getting my phone on Tuesday.
My comment was actually directed at the person who said that it could be a SIM card or a return box. I was implying that I'm sure you or whoever it saw the weight and you knew what it could be and not be.

As of 5 minutes ago mines sitting 20 minutes away in Romulus, MI too bad we couldn't try n go retrieve them cuz i know which bldg it's in at the airport

Return box shipped out the day after I ordered Aug 25) got it on the 28th so I can trade my wife's note 5 back (got 480 for it)

I don't know...
I just checked the tracking again and it does say 2 pounds.
Maybe they sent me two phones by mistake :)

I didn't say anything about trading in my old phone but maybe they sent a trade-in shipping envelope any
way just in case.

The phone it self weights 0.43lbs it a heavy weight in poundage or grams 194 without S Pen however you want to look at it

Just think... A year from now,we'll be excited again - but the excitement will be to can get rid of that old Note 8 and get the new Note 9.

My Samsung/Verizon Note8 is still in Memphis, Tennessee, with over a thousand miles to go before Tuesday but I know that FedEx's jets're fast.
