Verizon: Galaxy Note 9 Pre-Order Thread

So,

My line is currently eligible as I am using a Google Pixel 2XL that I bought outright. That being the case, how does the VZW pre-order work if I want to do the monthly payment option?

Do I get charged anything right now? Or does it just make it so that one is mailed to the store for me, or whatever?

Also, could I trade my pixel 2XL in at VZW when I pickup my note 9 to help offset the payments?

Thanks in advance!

I think if you preorder the device online you'll still have to pay taxes on the device. Then you send in your Pixel 2 XL and they'll assess its value and give the trade-in value to you via bill credits within 2-3 billing cycles.

If you're trading in a Pixel 2 XL, I would personally go to a VZW retail store on Note9 release day and trade in your device in person. Then you'll get the trade-in value taken off the purchase price of the device, which would mean lower monthly payments.

So did we decide if this pre order is happening in 10 minutes or another 3 hours? Seems like everyone else is starting at midnight...

Yelp. I know preordered both note 7 and note8 online and taxes wasn't taken out of bank account til phone was shipped.

Preorders are live on Samsung's website: samsung.com/us/mobile/galaxy-note9/buy/s/Device/

I'm getting the 128gb. I don't need 512gb. I'll have enough storage with the 128gb built in storage and my free 128gb and 256gb sd cards from note 7 and note8. Which one are you getting?
Think I'm getting the 512. Probably won't be as many people getting that, it's more future proof for higher resale later.

I decided on the 128GB (went through Best buy for the $100 off.) The 512 was very tempting but I just couldn't justify it. I'm not even really close on filling 64 gigs. Plus you have the micro SD slot.

Blue 512GB pre ordered with Verizon, back to bed.

No mention of free gifts when pre ordering with Verizon.

There was a info icon thing where the bogo notification was and if you clicked on it it talked about the bogo plus how to get the freebies which are the wireless akg headphones or the however much game bucks regarding the fortnight game or both for $99. At least I think it said $99. Since I only want the headphones I didnt pay much attention lol. Think it was on first page when I was choosing the color and storage size. When phone comes you just use your receipt and go to the Samsung app and sign up for your freebies.

Lmao my husband came in when I was about to hit preorder after I chose the ocean blue 128gb and said "hey why don't you just get the 512gb note9 so I can have your 2 sd cards?" I was like alrighty then 512gb ocean blue it is lol. 512gb should be plenty for me. If I need more I can get another sd card lol.

Went with the blue 512. Closed my eyes and just did it, it was a $250 upgrade, top phone you can get now and you will get it back if you sell it next year anyway, so why not enjoy the best phone you can get on the market. I hope that 8 gig of ram makes this phone fly. I don't know if I'll use the SD card, probably won't need it and internal memory is faster anyway.

Had to call Chase though because it wouldn't validate my card at check out. Felt like a fool calling at 2 in the morning to validate the charge for a phone. At least I shouldn't have to worry about fraud protection blocking the shipment now.
