Verizon: Galaxy Note 9 Pre-Order Thread

Anybody else get on the board for a delivery today? My phone made it to Orlando (hour away from me) but looks like its gonna hang out there until it gets on the truck for tomorrows delivery. A few people got switched to today earlier.

I went to the store to pre-order yesterday. 1, Blue 512 and a Purple 128. The purple 128 has shipped, but the Blue 512 is back ordered until 10/12/18!!! This is the first time ever I have pre-ordered a phone to have it be on backorder. Typically I pre-order on the very first day, but was REALLY on the fence with this release. I dropped my phone and cracked the screen on my Note 8 (had an otterbox defender on it too), so between that and the steady depletion of time that the battery holds a charge, and the BOGO running out soon, I took the plunge. I am HOPING I won't have to wait until October for my phone. I wonder if I wanted to switch to the purple 512, if that would be easy to do as that? It says it would ship on the 24th. I mean I have a Blue case for it that will be on all the time, so does the color REALLY matter? I bet they put a 10/12 date JUST to sell more of the purple ones.

One concern I have is the deadline for the free headphones is 9/20 (or something like that). You apply for them by using the phone once it arrives, but if it arrives AFTER the deadline, not really fair if I lose out on the opportunity. If we do BOGO, do we get 2 sets of headphones? one for each phone? or is it only for the 1st phone?

If you go to the store today before shipping deadline you can probably switch it to the purple and get it by Friday.

I think I would wait for the blue.

My tracking info shows nothing past a ton of a movement at the Memphis facility all day yesterday. The latest info is from 9:29pm last night, still in Memphis, and I'm in Tampa. I'm refreshing the page compulsively and nothing. I think I'm losing my mind!!!

Hey how are you getting the free headphones from a BOGO purchase from VERIZON?

I thought the Headphones are only from Samsung Directly

If you pre-ordered in-store, would the store hold one for you for Friday? The store gets an inventory, I think someone said his store has 12 of them. I'm sure a couple would be 512GB Blue's. Maybe if you got a nice rep they would hold it for you.

What are you panicking about? Regardless of where it's sitting they still have a deliver by date. If that date passes and you have no item, then I'd be worried. Until then relax.

Mine is supposed to be delivered tomorrow by 4pm and I'm not even remotely concerned about where it's parked right now. On top of that, I'm not the one getting it, I have to go to the kiosk I ordered it from to pick it up. That's even more drama for me, and I'm still not panicked. Breath.

i dont think Samsung or Apple will do that soon. They have contracts with UPS and FedEx, and having it in stock, is a redo of Verizon's operations. Plus enabling this option, will significantly reduce new accounts generated from physical stores.

Has anyone been at a verizon store recently, even just for a damn sim card? the lines are horrendous

Yeah, I don't even think about going into any Verizon stores anymore. I've also found I was better off calling customer service myself for issues as it was a much faster process. Heck I even bypassed them by ordering my phone at kiosk instead of going to their store.

So excited Verizon isn't making FedEx hold our phones hostage. My heart almost jumped out my chest when I received the email that my phone would be delivered today. Not jealous of T-mobile and Sprint anymore

I saw this. That's why I thought you could get the headphones with Verizon. I don't know if the deal is available in conjunction with the BOGO deal though. And if it is, is it available for BOTH phones?
