Verizon: Galaxy Note 9 Pre-Order Thread

I have to say it's very irritating to have shipment "tracking" with no information provided. All I know is that my phone was in Memphis yesterday and is some how supposed to magically end up in my hand in Tampa, FL by 4:30pm tomorrow. I would assume every time the package moves it must be scanned, so how hard is it to update the whereabouts of the phone?? I just want to be reassured that my phone didn't drop off a conveyor belt somewhere to be lost forever! Patience is not one of my virtues...

I feel your pain. Mine left Memphis at 4:27am and there has been zero updates since. I believe that FedEx only updates their tracking system every 24 hours.

Don't worry. The label for mine was created at 5:34am yesterday. According to tracking, it was still sitting in PA waiting to be picked up until noon today. It changed today when it was scanned in Indianapolis. It's on its way. Someone probably just missed scanning a handful of them. It happens a lot.

These affholes at my store I ordered my phone says they can't activate until the 24th. Wtf? Basically, it's at the store, but I can't use ir or they won't give it to me until Friday. Never again. No more store for me.

I posted yesterday that I was being told by the store that ordered my phone if it came in early I couldn't get it till Friday because the "official release date" is the 24. This morning I called Verizon and was told I could have the phone activated the moment I got it. Meaning if it arrived before the 24, all it would take is a call to Verizon and they would activate. Basically they told me there was no reason for the store to hold up my phone.

Anyway I'm about to test this when my phone arrives tomorrow for pickup. They'll have to show me in B&W where it says I can't have my phone, especially since Verizon doesn't seem to have an issue.

We can. There was some fine print on the preorder screen. You had to click a small font link at the bottom of the screen and it popped up all of the details.

Damn!

that was something that is needed on the preorder. damn I didnt have that option when i tried to preorder using the Verizon app

YO BUZZY,

do you have Fedex Delivery Manager and did you also pay for the phone outright?
does your home residence have a waiver with Fedex?

How did you get a Note 9 with no signature requirement?
Have FedEx manager and no didn't pay out right took advantage of the BOGO. Both phones were 512 and I have a virtual concierge that accepts all my packing which bypasses signatures because it's a secured storage.
