Verizon Galaxy S3 - Phone won't turn on -- Please help!

Tragically, my rooted phone recently started crashing for no reason, then decided to stop turning on altogether after I tried a Dummy File Generator fix described in xda. Now there's no download mode or anything, so I can't fix it or remove root.

Anyone return rooted phones (bricked or non) to Verizon before? Do they care?

Opinions/solutions much appreciated!

Are you sure it won't turn on or is it just out of juice? Battery pull didn't solve anything? Plug it into your computer and see if it gets recognized. If all fails, call Vz and ask for warranty replacement without telling them you rooted. They'll issue a replacement and you just send the phone to them when you receive the replacement. I did the same with my rooted phone (it was still working) and never heard anything from Vz. They reflash the OS when receiving returns anyway....

You should purchase a JIG (from Amazon or wherever) as a last-ditch effort to get the phone to boot into Download mode. Even if it doesn't work, they're still handy to have around when you mess with rooting.

100% agree with this. Just claim ignorance to what happened to your phone and they won't give you issues.
