Verizon Galaxy S3: Screen repair

So my pre-order S3 finally fell and broke the glass...wife's did about a year ago. LCD and touch are not effected, so its just the glass. Mine is worse off than hers. Did my internet research, looks like something I can do at home. eBay search shows two different replacement parts. One with a ribbon cable, one without. How do i know which one do I need?

If it's just the front glass then you don't need the cable. The front glass is easy to repair. Amazon for the parts. Should be less than $10. EASY FIX.

That is what I was thinking....but some of the eBay ones when searching for just the screen have the ribbon cable and just say they are the screen
