So I recived the confirmation email as well but noticed how it says -"Please allow 4-6 weeks for REVIEW of your offer claim"............. On teh VZW ad it says .....
"Galaxy S7 and S7 edge requires a new device payment activation. *Gear VR MSRP is $100, 6-game bundle is estimated at $50 value, Gear S2 MSRP is $349.99. Free Gear VR or S2 takes 4-6 wks to deliver. "

So does this mean that we have to wait 4-6 weeks to see if we were one of the 35,000 lucky lottery winners out of 5 or 6 million pre-orders.... and then another 4-6 weeks to receive device if we are fortunate not to get one of the emails that people trying to register for the free wireless charger promo with samsung pay are now getting today......"Sorry, Out of stock, promotion has ended."........

Hmm I was wondering if I was in time for the watch. At 1:30 this afternoon I filled out the forms and got the email above but it said "S2" in the places that yours says "VR". So my guess would be that after they ran out of watches they just defaulted it to the VRs. The 4-6 weeks is for verifying and shipping.

The entire promotion leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Originally it didn't say 35k watches, that was just added a few days ago. I am not a lawyer but I don't see how they can go and change the promotion details after it starts.

The other thing I don't like ia on Verizons website it makes it seem like everyone will be able to get a G2, it doesn't even have any fine print. Just says to go to the Samsung site to get the watch. Also it's a shady promotion because the people on the east coast had a way better shot at getting the watch. Luckily I am pretty sure I got one but I'd be pissed if I didnt.

Mine stated my offer was for the Gear S2. Make sure you didn't accidentally select the VR.

Both of them have no clue and could care less... freakin VZW is still telling people that no one is getting their phones shiped until March 11th.... when you tell them people you know said they have their phone already --they tell you that they are giving you misinformation and it is not true...... HONESTLY - I think they are doing it on purpose just to get people to spin. There are CS Reps or Bots on the VZW community support forum still stating that NO ONE is getting the silver one shipped until March 31..........

I received the exact same email detailing the Verizon offer and S2. Again, you may have done something wrong.

Here is a copy of my email. When I go to the Samsung promotion website and check on the status, it does say VR up top and not S2. Maybe that is what the Samsung rep was talking about.

I got my phone this morning and submitted the claim, got the email like above and still says Samsung Gear S2. They didn't remove the option yet. I think they need to see who returns the phone then they sort out the first 35,000 submissions of people who kept it.

Looks like others who selected the S2 got the VR email - according to another thread when they spoke with Prize company they were told the response email was 'generic' and would say either, both or neither... time will tell.

When I contacted them they said that my location code didn't match an online purchase so I could not claim the S2 even though I did order online. I called Verizon and after a few hours they said they would rectify the issue and assured I would get the watch. Not sure if that means they are gonna send me one or what so we will see.
