Verizon gets marshmallow tomorrow... (Update: It is out now!)

Re: Verizon gets marshmallow tomorrow...

Agree, have had mine five days and love it except battery drains much quicker than my Note 3 ever did. I'm trying the Snapdragon battery guru that was recommended, but so far don't see a tremendous change. I'm hoping somehow that they've tweaked some things in this update to squeeze some more juice out of the battery. I think it's a decent size cell, and I just can't believe the little second display causes that much juice to be used.
I've been running that Snapdragon Battery Guru too and also see no changes in battery performance. I was beginning to think I was doing something wrong. LOL

Now that MM is here I'll see how things go. I may uninstall if I don't see any measurable difference.

I would recommend that you do a factory reset after installing the update. It seems to optimize everything and I tend to see better battery life.

As hard as it is to be patient. It will take tmobile longer. T mobile has wifi calling, tmobile hot spot and other just tmobile time things baked really deep into the ROM. And it is probably taking alot of extra effort to get this done.. Patients is hard.. But be patient.. We have a great stable phone. Let them get this right the first time.

Update is finished. The first thing I noticed was weird behavior with my fingerprint scanner. It seems like the fingerprint registers (quicker), the screen turns on, and then the screen unlocks. I feel like it was different before. Maybe it's quicker altogether, but it feels slower or the same (and awkward).

Yeah I know, I just got the thing and have it all set up! I do use Nova Launcher so as I have before I can back up settings and such, just don't feel like it at the moment! Lol

Holy cow that took an hour from start to finish

I'm on MM now. Update was flawless, took about a half hour. So far everything works fine, but I'll see how things turn out over the next few days.
FPS works well, by the way.
I did have to remount the SD card, but it works fine.

Updated my V10... Went flawlessly.. FPS seems faster... Will keep you all updated of there is a hiccup!

So where is this "Doze" I've been hearing about? Is it something that we turn on or is it automatic?

Check out articles on Adoptable (Internal) vs. Portable Storage for SD cards in Marshmallow - such as this one:
Inside Marshmallow: Adoptable storage | Android Central

More than likely - we will not have the Adoptable storage option. LG is not allowing it with the LG G5.
