Verizon Has Pulled the VRBMD3 Update: Samsung Working on Fix

Nice. Thanks for the update, Phil. Verizon should have been more upfront and forthcoming with this weeks ago.

That is awesome news and a good step forward. The first step to recovery is admitting you have a problem :).

I sure hope they fix it soon because I am getting closer by the day to get a refrub phone. Just do not want to chance it coming with the newest update.

They are talking about a July date for the fix release. That could be first week or last week in July. I am going to assume last week in July..

I used Odin and went back to mb1 (no root required). It works great and no new bloat from Verizon and Samsung. All Samsung did was add features from the S4 that I turned off anyway. Verizon added more revenue baiting bloat.

No more updates here, thank you. I will get all the new bloat if Verizon ever releases a 32gb S4.

Added: And no waiting for the update to fix the problems, but still adds the bloat.

I have tired a search and a google search of this. Can you or someone please point me in the right direction to get this done?

Thank you advance

I found a marked improvement in performance by going into settings and changing the network mode from LTE/CDMA to Global.

My thoughts exactly. Updating a perfectly working device merely to add features I am not going to use is just asking for trouble.

There really should be no difference in either setting, except if in another country or a roaming only area. Well maybe not Germany, since I think they are LTE as well.
