We are moving from AT&T to Verizon, so I will give up my HTC Inspire (same as HTC Desire). I'm looking at the HTC One, and wasn't too concerned about the weak positive comments on the camera until a couple of nights ago when my Inspire was able to get a shot in a dark restaurant that no one else at the table could get. Has any one else made a similar phone move and what do you think of the camera differences?

I recently had to switch from the HTC Droid DNA to the HTC One (long story, but Verizon didn't give me a choice in the matter). The camera, overall, on the One is not even close to the DNA. The DNA was just okay in lower light conditions and the One is only marginally better. Without the flash, the exposure is pretty good, but the sharpness and clarity of the picture is hindered by the 4 MP sensor (as with all photos - not just low light).

The images look pretty good if zoomed all the way out or uncropped. However, if you crop or zoom in, the pixelation is noticeable. After switching, I am not a fan of the One's camera. If you only look at your photos only on your camera, Facebook, etc. it will be great, but if you do more with your photos, don't expect high quality images.
