I agree! But I guess now it will give me a little more time to decide between the LG G2 and the HTC One...oh who am I kidding? 2 more weeks and I'm still gonna be just as happy own a One along with everyone else Let's hope Verizon has something up their sleeve and they release the Butterfly S or something, a souped up One for us that have been waiting so long...oh man, again, who am I kidding lol seriously though they better make it worth it and I'll be up late tonight checking...lol I happened to be on the Verizon site exactly at the same time they snuck in the brown version of the GS4 and it was like 2 in the morning so I'll be on the Verizon HTC One neighborhood watch lol

I tried my corp rep. He has no idea. Then again, he's been late with getting me launch dates lately, so I have no clue. He said he will order me a demo as soon as they are available in his system.

The G2 and Moto X still all seems so plasticy compared to the One. Only problem with the One now is that is is in phone years getting a bit long in the tooth as far as a refresh is concerned. Like buying a car at the end of the model year. . . at full price....

By the way, I probably am leaning towards buying into the 8/15 rumor now. When it involves Verizon, they are late on just about everything. Just think of it as two weeks closer to the HTC TWO! :-\

While I'm not totally debunking this recent leak/screenshot, it seems the write-up would be fairly easy to fake for anyone who's been keeping up with phone news. I still hope there's a silent launch tomorrow. Because if not, that means the Aug 15th date is going to be the date for pre-order sales to start, and since verizon usually launches preorders a month ahead of actual in store and on line purchase availability that means we technically won't have the phone until September. Or at least that is what this vzwsantaclara user keeps saying all over the forums and article comments, and she claims to work for Verizon. That's just not cool with me if she is right

I agree, there really is no competition on this phone in my eyes regarding specs. The S4 is too gimmicky for me, full of features I will never use. I haven't even turned too much attention to the Moto X because id get a droid ultra before I'd consider an X. The only redeeming thing that could happen is if they surprise us with the Butterfly S as a DNA successor because its everything the One is AND with removable battery and sd card slot, so no one could argue against those features, even if that means losing the aluminum unibody. I'd still get it in plastic just because its gonna have a faster processor and bigger battery, and full of the same features that sold me on the One. But I wouldn't hold my hopes too high on that because its not even available in the U.S. yet :/

Again, this is just people throwing dates around to try to save their 'predictions' or false info they were given. If the date was 'moved' from the 1st to the 15th the reps would have known about it. Why? Simple. Verizon would have had to confirm the August 1st date with the employees. Also, the device would have been in the warehouse and in their system (which again it's not). Nothing can be considered "moved" if you didn't know it was being moved in the first place. It was never coming out the 1st to begin with. Even as of right now, there is nothing internally at Verizon mentioned anywhere about this device regarding dates. The August 15th date is just more believable than the 1st since that's at least not the same day as the Moto X announcement, but it also sounds like the Moto X might be available relatively quickly after launch. Probably not the same day as announcement - possibly the 15th of August.

It is not difficult to debunk rumors. Logic plays a huge part, especially with Verizon.

And, as always, it's pointless to ask in a Verizon store. My wife had to stop by one today so she asked about the ONE and got a blank stare. Asked about Droid Ultra. Another blank drawn. Asked about LG G2. Strike three! But she said they sure were pushing her to buy an S4! What a stupid way to do business.

Today at a Verizon store I got the answer "Not tomorrow, but you won't have to wait very much longer." So they were as useless as I expected. But I played with the S4 today, then with the One at BestBuy, and I like the One a lot more, but I may settle for the S4 if this nonsense continues. I'm sick of my iPhone 4 and have been eligible for my upgrade since February.

Totally understand where you're coming from. Personally i think the One is worth the wait (if its a few more weeks) but if you do settle with the S4 you'd still be getting a great phone. Kinda just depends on what you like lol

A lot of the accessories show an August 1st launch and are in stock in the warehouse.

Lol! I think I got it wrong though. I know the battery is 3300 mah but i can't remember if I read it as removable or not. I would expect so though since it would be plastic. It's already available in Taiwan and looks a lot like the DNA, as far as color scheme. In that I mean the front speaker grills do not stand out as much like on the One; they blend in with the phone pretty discreetly.

Edit: yeah I was wrong. But it's still a beast!
