Verizon Launch Delayed..(rumors)

Don't get the Rezound unless you want a brick in your pocket. I like my Thunderbolt, but after having the Storm and now the Thunderbolt, I'm ready for a thinner and lighter phone.

I don't plan on getting it. I have the thunderbolt and it is lighter than the thunderbolt. I love how much hate android people are starting to bash other android phones. They are getting worse than the isheep. If someone wants the rezound( not me) why do you care what they spend their money on or feel the need to bash it?

I really don't care, I was just trying to let people know. P3Droid says it's a brick also as he has all 3 of the new phones now. Quite frankly the only thing I'm "bashing" is the fact that HTC seems to be out of ideas with phone designs and they don't seem to care about taking the time to change their design and manufacturing process so they can get more out of their phones. I mean I would probably get the Rezound if it came with a bigger battery and it wasn't the same size as the Thunderbolt.

neither does porsche. i hate companies that feel the need to change their design just because they feel like they need to change the look to revive interest. the rezound is narrower than the gnex. modern phones all seem thin but wide as hell. i had no problems with older phones that were narrow but thick. i could keep a phone and my wallet in my front pocket because the phone wasn't so wide. sitting on your wallet isn't good for your back.

so you base everything off of what others say? So you are one who is unable to make a decision on your own and must get reinforcement from others to make you feel what you purchased was better? Android is about choice and the rezound will sell well as will the razr and the other phones. I honestly don't care what P3 or someone else thinks about something since after all I am the one using it and every person is different in what they like and want.

Where exactly are people getting the "years end info"?? The Google/Samsung event said November.

Rezound for 14 days to kill time and something new to play with. I would think that by the 28 th we should have the Gnex or a date.

The only timeframe from Verizon that was released to the public stated it would be out by the end of the year. Hopefully they were just being conservative and that the leaked Verizon documents that said it would be out by the end of November are true.

The latest rumors said w/o 21st so it makes sense we would see it around then or black friday.

This is getting old. Starting to have thoughts about the RAZR.

Don't do it. You'll spend the next 2 years regretting that decision for a couple weeks of pleasure. I think checking this forum 3 or 4 times a day (reading all the ridiculous rumors) is making it worse. I'm going to start checking the main AC page a few times a day. They'll have it up whenever the info is released.

And Verizon said by the end of this year. Were waiting for Verizon not the other carriers overseas.

This is true - I need to quit checking like I do. The info will come when it comes - I still think VZW is screwing this release, though.

The only thing is most don't know what a bootloader is nor care if it is locked. I used to care when phones were so laggy and buggy you needed root and roms just to run half decent. Now the phones have plenty of ram and dual cores and are plenty fast out of the box. People blow the bootloader situation way out of the water IMO.

To everyone that acts like any of these phones coming out now wont make it 2 years ask yourself this. Did the bionic with its 1 gb ram and dual core all of the sudden stop working because the razr came out? Didn't think so. Other than updates( which some of the times OS updates aren't all that great) the nexus is similarly spec'd to the bionic and razr. People will be happy no matter what and the razr and other dual core phones still will work and do everything you want whether it has the latest os update or not. Do what you want and if you like the razr, get it. It has been getting good reviews and even Phil Nickinson said it was the first phone that made him not want to go back to his thunderbolt. Plus other sites said it was the best phone they used. If you can't wait it is not a bad choice.

and can't you even hide most or all of the bloat even without rooting the phone this time around?

if the razr didn't have a sealed battery and had ICS I might have been persuaded to take it over the nexus

might....

I was waiting for the Bionic to start working, not stop. Just saying, time will tell how "similar" these phones are.
