Verizon Launch Delayed..(rumors)

thanks! Its quite ok.. I understand the passion that people have for their devices.. as I continue to say I am as much a fan of tech as you all are.. I just get the chance at times to play with the toys a lil earlier..

Yeah these forums are full of the rabid....Hell Im just a recent college grad with no $$ who needs a nice phone for work. Im a geek on the side.....

Amazing how out of control these things get.

I'm going through the same exact thing right now,I agree with u 100 percent.

If it's coming to Verizon (which it clearly is), then I don't see what the fuss is about. Maybe it comes out Nov 3, maybe Nov 10, maybe Nov 17. Makes no PRACTICAL difference to me, even if I do want to get my hands on it.

Developing any product takes time. Sometimes you get stuff done ahead of schedule, sometimes there's extra polish you want to put on. It will be done when it's done, and that's when I'll get it. I don't see what else there is to fuss over. If it goes to VZW, or Sprint, or T-Mobile first... so what?!

In any event, I'm on Verizon... grandfathered in the unlimited data plan... get a monthly discount through work, and I'm sitting on an upgrade which I plan on "cashing in" before the holidays. Until then I have a DX which is just fine in itself. I'm all for the latest and greatest stuff if it's within reach, but if it isn't then life goes on. Not going to jump from one phone to another to another, switch carriers, yatta yatta based on if one handset is available or not, or when.

I'm getting sick and tired of these people hating on the nexus screen from what I can tell it looks legit...techcrunch posted an article and they have yet to use the damn thing its unreal...people just need to take a step back because I think the screen will be one of the selling points

Wise panda is always wise

This I have learned

Everyone should follow the panda Twitter as well.

Interesting post on reddit:

I unfortunately have nothing more than what i just witnessed with my own two eyes ad proof, but Marni Walden did just confirm in an internal webcast the Galaxy Nexus will be carried on Verizon Wireless.

I can't vouch for the source, but if this really was an internal webcast and Marni Walden (Big Red's CMO) did say that then there has to be other people who heard it.

... Pretty sure there wont be anything coming this weekend ...

Next week... things get real interesting.. (insert sinister laugh here)

Panda...
Theological Update: The Panda is not infallible! But we still love him anyway. And thanks for the network too!

Thanks, Robrecht

Panda - Are the twit pics P3Droid posted of the Galaxy Nexus the Verizon phone, a fake, or an early test model?

Sorry, I'm pouring gas on this fire. No way this phone is coming on the 10th if Verizon puts out a presser TODAY and doesn't give us a release date. If the 10th was the date then this phone would be buttoned up and ready to ship to stores. It isn't and that's why Verizon didn't give a date.

We're not seeing this phone until December.

Nonsense. Verizon didn't announce the Bionic's date until the day before it went on sale. They'll likely do something similar for the GNex. (which, btw, if the 10th holds true that's still 20 days from now, which is plenty of time)

The ONLY reason Verizon announced it was because customers were PO'd that they didn't announce it at the event, and were likely badgering customer service agents asking them about it. This is EXACTLY what everyone expected to happen; Verizon wanted to announce they were going to carry it on their own, separate from a Google or Samsung event.
