If I didnt want this so bad, Id probably go for a Rezound myself, its most likely gonna drop before the Nexus if the after the 17th for the US is true.

There is no way it'll drop after 17th. I'd say pre-orders on the 3rd, launch on the 10th. Rest of the world 17th.

Verizon took down their "exclusively on Verizon" message so there's nothing even confirming right now that they have an exclusive anything. And it could only be exclusive in the US.

No sense is bit of stretch. Verizon doesn't compete against carriers in other parts of the planet. If Verizon has an "exclusive" they're most likely talking about U.S. carriers.

The headphone jack on the bottom is probably the only design thing I don't like about this phone. They did it with the Nexus S, now with this phone and, I don't understand why.

Because when you're holding your phone in the palm of your hand, the natural motion to slide it into your pocket is to slide it in earpiece first.

Also, if the headphone jack was at the top, the headphone cord would be more likely to fall upon your screen, getting in the way of controls, swipes and screen viewing.

good point... i liked how they changed it from the top on my OG Zune to the bottom on my flash zune...the headphone jack is better down there IMO

I'm running out of patience. I was up for an upgrade in July. The GS2 never came and now the power button on my OG Droid is broke.

If you told me in July I'd have to wait until late November/early December I would have laughed.

I'm in the same boat. Except I'm on AT&T. And Verizon's coy attitude could cost them a prospective customer. On the face of things, it sure looks as if they put little effort into acquiring compelling devices.

...come to think of it, that's the sole reason I switched to AT&T in the first place.

I never slide phone into my pocket ear piece first. I have a DROIDX and prefer the hump at the top, makes it easier to grab the phone.

True. My data speeds and signal suck. Really suck. The reason I left Verizon was for the iPhone, originally. AT&T was the only one who had it, and I was not going to not have it. I just always envied other people's phones while I had Verizon, and they all envied my service. I just wanted to see if the grass really is greener on the other side.

It turns out that it's dead on both sides, btw.

I am hoping that this device will finally be that perfect combination of great device and great service (and it looks like it will if it ever arrives). I just can't stand using my cracked iPhone anymore. The wait has been annoying at best. I'm just frustrated. Sorry...

Yeah, it was for the iPhone, summer 2009. When the other smartphone offerings were...unattractive. The new model (3GS) came out the very next day...which I didn't see coming because I wasn't a forum trolling nerd at the time (just a nerd). True story. At least they comped us. Though I'm not sure setting my hopes on unreleased hardware is much better (I'm looking at you, mythological Verizon SGS2).
