Verizon LG G3 - Hidden Menu - Double Tap

I am getting an LG G3 from Verizon Monday, and am wanting to turn off the Double Tap ability of the phone (I have no desire to have it running). I have read that you can access the Hidden Menu on the G3, but that the Verizon version is very limited. What I am wondering is if the Verizon Hidden Menu has the ability to turn disengage Double Tap? Otherwise, are there other ways to shut it off?

EDIT: I had the features mixed up. Double Tap is the one I want to get rid of.

Welcome to AC and the G3 forum.☺

You can indeed do that in the Hidden Menu, if you can access it in the first place. On my unlocked D855-EUR it's easy, but another member here couldn't do it on his AT&T G3. Here are some entry codes, but note the warnings about going in there:

This Service Menu, another name for it, is hidden for a good reason. Users who access it do so at their own risk. I'm not advising it.

Thanks. I just jumped ship from Windows Phone. I will have to see what options the Verizon G3 Hidden Menu has for options. I know people have said that they are not the same as the international versions. I guess I will have to wait and see when the phone arrives tomorrow. I do know that I don't want the phone constantly turning on in my pocket.

It won't turn on in your pocket. It uses it's proximity sensor along with the double tap. If anything is close to the top of the phones sensors than it won't activate.
