Verizon LTE Down... AGAIN!

I wonder how much of it is related to bouncing between towers and the phone reauthenticating; which is why some people are still on in the same city where other's have been bumped off. I have several towers near work; one is about 500' away, and a couple with in a mile or so. I just lost 4G on my Xoom down to 3G in the last few minutes, while my Nexus is still a full 4 bars at 4G. It's perplexing.

I just lost my data again too.
kilgoretrout says he/she is down in Cleveland too now. Sounds like the Cleveland/Akron market is down. Cleveland/Akron and I have no music loaded on my phone. It's going to be a long drive home. LOL

Knoxville TN. No 4G, 3G is in and out but mostly out. This is the 3rd time this month. It does seem to get faster every time it comes back up though.

here is the fix, everyone in the country must turn off their nexus at the same time and leave it off until 9 pm pst

after about 3 hours i finally got my 3g back in phoenix but still no 4g. at least work wont feel super long now

mine did this a little while ago when I toggled airplane mode on and off. it was *22899

#228 is the dial code to register 3G phones with the cell network and to update roaming capabilities if you change your service. Perhaps *22899 is the 4G version?

Charlotte,nc its down came back for a few but down again.
Bad thing about it I thought my phone was messed up and being rooted before going to vzw I flashed stock images back (adb) and relocked
Only good thing about that was I now know it works,ha
I went to vzw and found out about 4g national outage.
Already unlocked and re rooted . at least I have my wifi's to get my apps back

Should't dial *228 on a 4g phones it activtes itself,the *22899 is the same thing as *228 its just requires no pushing of the buttons like the *228 does ,ex: 1 to reprogram,2 to get PRL's again thats just for 3 g phones tho

I lost all Data earlier this afternoon here in Florida, but I'm back up and running now it seems. Not sure about 4g as I'm not in 4g area at the moment, but 3g is back on where it was down earlier for me.

I only know one other person with a Nexus. During the last outage, she had data and I didn't. Now it's the other way around.

this is correct. Not sure why, but my phone took it upon itself to dial *22899 when i toggled airplane mode on and off. seeing that my phone is not the only one that has done this. Not sure what is going on with that.
