Verizon Messages+ Notifications Disappear...?

For some reason, my Verizon Messages+ notifications appear for a second, and then they just go away. Are my settings not correct? Do I need to fix something somewhere? Why is this happening all of a sudden? They show, but go away??? Why is that?
